From the S - ATV track to S ridge - back via Griosamal. | Chris Peart | 01/06/2023 |
Good parking area at old quarry, just N of mapped sheep pens (NB 1917 3055). Rough wet ground mostly for a round of 8 hills. Benn Sgarastaigh, Culabhal Mor and Smuaisebhal first then dropped down below Loch Smuaisebhal, across the road and up to Cleite na Beiste, Griosamol and across to here. On to Cleit na Speireig, Cleite na Cloich Ard and return for a 8.5 mile round. | jonglew | 12/03/2023 |
From the B0859, then taking a route over Cleite na Beiste, Griosamol, Conostom, Cleit na Speireig, Beinn Fuathabhal and Beinn Drobhanais. From this last summit we decided to double-back over Cleite na Cloich Ard as rain looked increasingly likely. Rough ground incorporating heather, bog hopping and rock slabs throughout. | summitter | 13/09/2022 |

An easy walk from the S, parking on the old road by the Glas Allt Ben Mocacleit. An ATV track starts at the electricity pole E of the bridge and takes you easily and soggily along the stream then right to the foot of the hill, via Loch Tungabhat, then sheep tracks and an ancient path lead to a shieling on a grassy mound and onwards to the wide gully below the hill. Across this, onto the ridge, then to the rocky top and wonderful views. An easy, scenic and pleasant walk if you don't mind wet feet. | Gill | 15/09/2021 |
From E. Parked in Small Quarry. S of Alt Gil Uilisgir, N of Loch Ruadh and up grassy slope to col..With PM. All 4 possible high points visited. | CJM | 24/06/2019 |
Parked up at 191307. Headed west keeping to the south of the burn. Hard work underfoot for the last mile, up and down and heathery. Caught us out as we thought it would be easy. 2 hours 15 minutes return with CM. | bolton | 24/06/2019 |
Parked on the road to the east in small quarry. Relatively easy going along river and around the Lochan. Then surprising craggy and rocky summit. Fine viewpoint on a clear sunny day. | N.Morters | 29/05/2019 |
Up ridge from the south. One of the more friendly Lewis Marilyns with easy ground and not much ascent. | AndrewFinnimore | 10/05/2019 |
Parking old road near broken bridge. Mostly sunny, cool wind as usual, superb views. | iangalbraith | 10/05/2019 |
Cleite na Beiste, Griosamol, Conostom, Cleit na Speirig, Cleite na Cloich Ard from good parking in quarry at 195 297 | PeteN | 02/01/2019 |
From the old road to the South over Griosamol. After a lengthy dry period no bog problems. | NormanW | 01/06/2018 |
Tried to follow ridge from 171270, not easy - over Ghosamol, then across to Beinn a Charnain and even Beinn Mocacleit , having done Coltraiseal 3 in morning. Lovely and desolate. | Thearlaichdubh | 20/09/2016 |
With Jenx from usual roadside parking. | nordicstar | 11/09/2015 |
Round of Griosamol, Conostom, Creag na h-Iolaire, Beinn a'Charnain & Beinn Mocacleit from S. | jimbloomer | 26/09/2014 |
Bagged Griosamol first before Conostom on an improving afternoon. | Dugswell2 | 22/09/2014 |
All I remember is that my back was killing me and there were a lot of intervening Tumps. | Martin R | 29/09/2013 |
rough walk-in from the south, with Alex and Alison | Topographer57 | 15/09/2013 |
A little bit random, but a totally amazing location to find myself getting my first Scottish repeat Marilyn bag. | Twice Shy | 15/09/2013 |
From minor road to south, parking on the old disused Road. | BLACKHILL | 22/05/2012 |
Approached from the east up Gil Uilisgir. Rugged terrain, but the views are more than ample reward. | Alex C | 18/05/2012 |
My 1,500th Marilyn. Parked in layby caused by straightening the old road. Dry moor, many ups and downs. Gained left shoulder, skirting a lochan, up a grass ride to the ridge, down and up by rock outcrops to column (no FB) at 11.10. Golden plovers. | arranc | 23/06/2010 |
From the road via Loch Tungavat. | Eddie | 18/07/2008 |
Date is first visit. Notes from later...fine rocky summit, several shielings en route, fine view. B8059 @ 189309, pleasant gorge, boggy approach then direct assault | RHW | 26/09/2000 |
