Parked near Whitehall Farm, walked back down road to take path by kennels, up through clearing to field and then HP near mast. Back a more direct route to road. Holiday homes in woods neat a small track. | PeterD | 22/05/2021 |
Ascent via the wood next to rescue kennels. Made a total pigs ear of return and somehow ende miles away in an overgrown wood before popping out on the Llanharry road a long way from the car. All my own fault. Navigational complacency. Seemed a good idea at the time. 15 minutes up, 75 back! | Campbell Singer | 31/08/2019 |
2/2 as with RHW, parked at entrance of Whitehall farm and through the woods, although that makes it sound easy, definitely took the hard route. Perhaps made more difficult by the holiday lodges that have been built in the woods that I tried to steer clear of | penbet | 25/07/2019 |

Parking by train staion for Mynydd Garthmaelwg walk, tacked this on the end after returning to village. Up lane past Dolau to S edge of wood, then through scrubby wood, avoided house (not shown on my map, at around ST 0065 8240), then out into sheep pasture. HP a little W of comms mast. | jonglew | 12/01/2017 |

Parked in Llanharan and walk into lane. Climb thorough wood to open field and summit. Not the easiest hill to bag. Descent via open pasture easier but very damp. | Ramblingpaul | 17/07/2016 |
First I drove up yellow road to an ideal parking spot near entrance to farm/house. A number of dodgy types wandering about put me off. Returned to Llanharon and parked in Free Car Park at Station. Followed road back up then into scrubby woodland and fields to reach high point. A much longer walk but my car remained intact. | Dusty | 20/04/2016 |
From w thru wood, pasture summit just w of comms mast | RHW | 24/10/2015 |
