park ent to solar initial track through fly tip then clear paths thru trash only about 20m with no paths. solar farm on what was initial quarry then refuse land fill good view over swansea bayunderhill04/05/2021
Parked in entrance to solar farm. Once I left the track the path is completely overgrown with bracken and brambles and it was pretty difficult. I would recommend doing this one in the Winter.clivevilla09/10/2019
Parked near the entrance to the solar farm, up track past the fly tipping and across the the cut paths to the final 30 meters through the brambles. Cut a few with secateurs. I enough of us do that we will have a path to the summit one day. Yes, the solar farm itself seem higher.Father Ted29/04/2019
Parked at Nolan’s . Walked along the track adjacent to solar energy plant. Fps have all been cut and are bracken free. All clear until 30 mts from top. Then awful. Articulations hp to south on solar energy plant is considerably higher but man made and inaccessible.Campbell Singer25/11/2018
Should have chosen a better hill for my last Bridgend summit. Solar farm, fly tipping & thick bracken. Horrible.ngthack21/08/2018
Short walk to brambly summit from parking at SS844805, then over fence to get as close as I could to manmade highpoint in solar farm, which is now surrounded by another higher fence with signs warning of danger of death.Tony J29/03/2018
From South Cornelly past quarries and over A48. Final part through signposted, but untrodden track through bracken and then through bracken and brambles to top at SS8458 8087.welshyboyo04/06/2017
Parked at SS 8445 8053, wandered up the old road as others past the entrance to the new solar farm. Beaten path through the bracken, then through unbeaten bracken and bramble to the obvious HP near enough exactly 100m due W of the OS spot height.... but then the new solar farm is much higher! I guess the quarry has been filled in so it's not natural, but decided to go up onto it anyway. Fencing at SS 8456 8081 easily negotiated. Was a bit concerned as a lot of activity going on but worker bees didn't seem too bothered by my presence. Clocked a 115m HP at SS 8471 8073.jonglew05/01/2017
Same As RHW. HP only short distance off path from Signpost, but brambles thick for short distance to the top. Views of wind farms to the NE, The steel works to the West and The top of the landfill site just to the South which is higher, but obviously man made. Plenty of dumped sofas for the weary in the old lane.PeterD06/03/2016
From sw, old road then path mown thru bracken almost to highpoint, then a few m of unpleasant of brambles. OS spot height is 100m further ENE but obviously lowerRHW24/10/2015
