With Jo, from Buckham’s Bridge cp: across Blindburn Bridge to track south before crossing stile to track in Carshope Plantation to Whar Moor. Then track onto Bell Hill and then followed vague paths onto Fulhope Edge, before following another vague path NW directly to Buckham’s Bridge. Weather; sunny, cold wind, good visibility.amblerbob24/04/2021
From Buckham's Bridge Fulhope Edge > Bell Hill > Whar MoorAndrew Simmons24/04/2021
From parking at Buckham's Bridge. Up the shoulder of the hill on the W of Cat Cleugh and round > Fulhope Edge. SSE to the head of Gable Burn then ENE > Bell Hill (sparcely planted with trees). Then easy forest roads (dense forest) > Whar Moor. Not planted at the very top so easy access from the forest track. Easy forest tracks down to the foot bridge at Blindburn and back along the road to the parking. Check https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/otterburn-firing-times before venturing onto the ranges.JohnR03/04/2021
From Fulhope Edge, trods and atv track down to large grey metal container, trod down to corrugated shed and track, left down track and right up bank to stile and gate in fence onto forest track, tracks to summit.Anton02/08/2020

Parked near Buckham's Bridge which was built in 1955. Direct route to Fulhope Edge then off-piste route across to Bell Hill before heading down to the obvious track to the summit of What Hill. Then return on this track and descent towards Gable Burn which is crossed. Then along towards Blindburn Farm to use the bridge to cross the Coquet just as it started to rain. Ran along the road back to my car.Dugswell210/05/2018
Via track. Nice to be in forest for a change. On to Bell Hill.Wycombe Wanderer27/08/2017
Circuit of three hills from Carshope. Forest tracks, one GOMoDL sign up but Bank Holiday anyway. Nice summit knoll in clearing. Descended wood via steep firebreak to SW to Fulhope Edge, not the best way.Aye Jimmy30/05/2016
Large parking area at the start of the minor road to Carlcroft. Follow the metalled and then stoned track along the edge of the forest. Take the first track on the right after the sheepfold then the left track at the top. After 100m there is an obvious clearing on your right running cleanly up to the summit, although the last 100m are a little tricky direction wise. An hour up and down (or less)moorsman31/07/2015
Wooded hill, summit knoll in open area.Adrian08/11/2014
On own. Circular walk from Buckhams Bridge CP - Thirl Moor - Fulhope Edge - Whar Moor - Bell Hill - Tindale Law and back along road 12 miles, 2400ft 6 hours. Ranges closed for lambing so great chance for an extended wander on these hills - saw no-one else all day. Whar Moor is totally covered with mature conifers, but access to the summit is straightforward using forest track from NT840106. When path splits, take left fork. Fairly obvious high point on right of track on edge of a clearing at NT83809,10989Crib Goch06/05/2014
