On walk from Hethpool stone circles to Wooler, we came up here after visiting the excellent Yeavering Bell hillfort. Great views from the summit, including a fine view of Hedgehope Hill and the Cheviot, as well as the fort on Humbleton Hill. From here we dropped down to visit Glead's Cleugh promontory fort, then Monday Cleugh on the side of Harehope Hill. Really good walking country and hardly any folks about.thesweetcheat17/10/2019
With Yeavering Bell and West Hill, leaving bike near church at Kirknewton and cycling back to phone box at Akeld. Mostly nice walking but some difficult bracken/heather obscuring path at times, especially at NT 9320 2901. Suggest look for wide atv north up hill - very obvious.carole engel18/08/2019

Parked near Akeld left hand footpath towards Gains Law via footpaths and shooting tracks to gain its trig point. Then down towards Gleadscleugh before climbing up to White Law. Returned to Akeld via the alternative footpath to the west of the Akeld Burn this time.Dugswell203/09/2017
Across from Yeavering Bell having parked at the end of Old Yeavering lane. Couldn't face the climb back up necessary on the return journey so followed the wall straight downwards. Eventuslly led to the road via a series of gates, but then required a 2km road walk back. However, much less effort required and far, far quicker. 6.56 km for both hills, 135 minutes with 410m of ascent.moorsman01/08/2017
