Spur of the moment decision to bag this tump late on a glorious autumn afternoon. From road to north. BEWARE the road from North Charlton is badly potholed for two or three miles.catman22/10/2023

Hepburn - Ros Castle - Hepburn Moor - Quarry House Moor - Cateran Hill - Eglingham Moor (and trig - 215m) - Longside - Berwick Moor - Cateran Meadows Moss - Blawearie - Old Berwick - Hepburnbriandavies22/10/2016
Easy parking at start of b/way from NNW. Followed this to f/p sign pointing up the hill. After 400m or so subsidiary track branches off L through heather, this leads to Cateran Hole NU 10231 23667. Strange, worth a visit, has steps down into short tunnel, candles on shelf to side - lighter or torch required, had neither. Summit of hill has large cairn or heather 10m N as high point.Aye Jimmy21/07/2016
From nnw, good moorland paths a little boggy, large cairn by path at summit.RHW12/03/2016
