From the beautiful beach on the north side of the island, on a Sea Harris trip. Scrambly ascent on the flank of a gully, then past Loch na Learga to the summit. Descent to the village pier to pick up the launch via Abhainn Forse. With DB.Man of Kernow121/09/2019
Got dropped off at the beach near Cearstaigh with Andy, Jill, Bill & Dave by Angus from the Kilda Cruises vessel Hirta and made our way steeply to the summit. I tried out my microspikes and somehow managed to lose my mobile phone out of my buttoned shirt pocket somewhere on the pathless climb :-( No chance finding it as we had to head SE over another top to be picked up at the slipway.signyred21/09/2019
3rd of 3 island. Follow coast to north avoiding first hill then up to summit. Nice views, just out of the cloud.N.Morters26/05/2019
Sea Harris trip organized by Gill, Pabbay, Taransay and Scarp. N from slipway, then NW to summit. Descent via Hump above slip.CJM26/05/2019
A great trip in very poor weather with Seumas on the Enchanted Isle. Wind picked up and veered whilst on Taransay to give excitingly rough seas on the way to Scarp. Landed slipway by the houses, and contoured low down on easy grass and sheep tracks below Beinn Fo Tuath and little crags to the Abhainn Foirse, where traces of a raised path can be found following up the river for a while. Continued up the river to emerge at the lochan below the summit, and headed NW and NE around a boggy dip to get to the top. The only island of the day with a view at the top, no rain, and the wind had dropped and veered again. Back over Beinn Fo Tuath and a nice easy descent from the bealach below heading E to the slipway. Much calmer sea on the way back.Gill26/05/2019
Sea Harris trip arranged by Gill. Pabbay, Taransay & Scarp. Some rain, some mist & some views - excellent day out with other baggers.ger26/05/2019
Landed on the pier on the east side of the island by Seumas from Sea Harris on Gills trip. 2 hours 20 minutes including the hump. Easy enough walking on the island for the 9 of us.bolton26/05/2019

Over on the wee dinghy on a very close, warm day. Three hours from slipway to hill and back, with Kathleen (lost sunglasses) and Max the dog. Given the historic location, weather and the trip over and back, one of our best hills, much more than a tick.dandaran13/09/2014
Travelled to Scarp by Canadian canoe. Climbed hill with Franny Baggins and very sore legs. Beautiful views from summit across to St Kilda, and back towards Harris. After the walk we went for a swim in the sea - Very cold.raffemeister27/05/2014

'Don't you try to cross or you'll end up in Kilda' Said shepherd. Good offer! Donald MacDonald in last house contacts nice man who's out shopping. He carries me both ways, his wife feeds us dinner and they stick a couple of mackerel on the day-sack. Luck boy me, againEddie17/07/2007
