From A865 Mill Croft. Parked in small lay by just down the side road. Up the peat road then made the mistake of going round the largest lochan to the south. Discovered on descent that the best path goes directly to the north of the lochan then strikes for the left side of the relatively obvious small stream, passing the big boulders at the extreme right of the boulder field. Although boggy in places this is a good path basically to the summit. The ridge is lovely, no scrambling but quite narrow in places. Superb views and a very worthwhile day!pog10007/06/2022
From A865 by Loch Dobhrain. Three Peaks route as described in the SMC book, The Corbetts & other Scottish Hills. Solo. A pair of Golden Eagles were soaring around the summit.Dangerous Dave03/06/2022
Parked by track end opposite Loch Dobhrain;used track to end, crossed boggy land to NW shoulder and up to Pt 608m and along ridge to summit, returning same way. Beautiful views, a few showers, but constant high wind made it difficult walking.IanHHill26/05/2022

Beinn Mhor must be one of the UK's best hills; just superb. Easy going on a decent path after the bogs, a narrow summit ridge and jaw-dropping views. What more could you want? On to Beinn Choradail, dodging many small crags on the way down, then an easy climb up a steep grassy rake to Feith Bealach and steep up to the top. Back S a short way, then the easy descent NW on steep, dry grass. The bealach with Thacla is a pain in the bum, many outcrops to weave around. Easy climb up Thacla, steep, obvious route in clear weather. The walk out was a bit of a character forming route march to beat sunset and failed. Correct route to the larger lochan but missed the track to Mill Croft in the dark. B*gger...Gill14/10/2020

From A865 at Mill Croft. Peat road and track, then at a big lochan presumably made by the peat digging, a good path seemed to go in the wrong direction. With retrospect, maybe I should have followed it but both up and down I found clear paths then lost them at confusing areas. Half an hour in each direction was a tedious moorland plod. From Maola Breac, it became pleasant on grass and slabs. Finally, the summit ridge is a fine arête, narrow and exposed but paths take shelves on easier ground, just little bits on the crest. The steep ground to the HP is circumvented- no scrambling required. The summit ridge was so good I strolled over to the SE cairn. Views no better, but a nice excuse to have another 20 mins walking up here. Cloudy, but about 2000 ft to start, rising throughout the day. The main ridges here run SE to NW but to traverse all 3 major hills is a SW to NE route- too serious for me today in OK conditions. Return by the same route, more or less. Well worth doing on its own.pwheeler24/05/2019
Climbed solo from A865 at Mill Croft (768346). Track at first, then boggy terrain to NW ridge at Maola Breac. Final part of ridge is a fine arête, narrow and exposed though no scrambling required. Fine weather with some mist patches earlier but clearing. Great views across the Uists, Barra, Harris and to the mainland. Return by the same route. Approx 4 hours. Highly recommended!jamessteel10030/10/2018

From NF 7674 3489, room for 2 cars. Wet ground until some height gained, thereafter a pleasant walk up and a lovely ridge at the top. Back tracked to NF 8058 3195 and dropped down to the bealach for an assault on Beinn Choradail; then on to Thecla.jonglew10/08/2018
