My brother parked on the B5299 opp.the mast track and left me to bag it- Trig pt and doubtfully possibly higher ground duly visited. 15 mins- we waited longer for a heavy shower to clear, distant views only the last few mins. | pwheeler | 15/03/2024 |

Parked next to the salt box just inside the no through road at the sharp bend in the B5299. The footpath from the road junction to the farm track appears to have been decommissioned so it was along the road for a short distance and a right turn up the farm track continuing to a gate on the left to access the trig point and the HP in the field. Declined to jump the barbed wire fence that would have bagged the third quoted HP on the quarry edge but as it's likely artificial anyway im not counting it! Second of three minor summits on a short excursion to pick up some of the very few remaining summits close to home and not requiring a prolonged and very obvious trespass. A lot of the minor mounds are unexceptional as hills or summits but at least in this area the views of the Northern Fells, Scotland and the Solway plain are lovely on a nice sunny day. | ytfckent | 20/04/2023 |

Small layby suitable to park on opposite side of the road to the track up to the Mast. Up to the mast, though gate on to Trig Point and then into middle of field to actual summit area. Not a lot in it I would say. Ten minutes or so. | nickywood1 | 10/10/2020 |

The least exciting of our 7 tops today. | jenx | 09/02/2019 |
With Jenx and Bryher, park at lane end. Very muddy to trig, high point, debateable if this is on natural ground or not, anyway Hensbarrow precedent now set. Called in to other HP referenced, but the trig is highest. | nordicstar | 09/02/2019 |
