Pleasant but unsettled weather so we had a low commitment walking day. Started from NY 312230 (spaces for 2 cars); riverside with pair of Dippers fp then up nice slopes to St Mary's Church, clearly used path direct to Low Rigg, where a wall stile would help. Back via Tewet Tarn (Goosander, Dabchick), Shundrew and Low End via pleasant RoWs. Despite going over the High Rigg tops a few times, this was our first visit to Low Rigg. With Petepwheeler15/03/2024
On a solo 555 linear bus walk/ jog from Swirls car park to Keswick on a beautiful sunny autumnal day. Down to shorts as the warmth of weak mid day sun just about beat the chill of the NE breeze. Lovely gentle angle km jog down N path through soggy bits -the lanes passing the well signed and wonderfully located for its views - Stone Circle - quick look and wonder, as were 20+ tourists. I was last here in 1997 with a youth development group for Prince's Trust doing stone rubbings and playing the drums and face painting!Chris Pearson21/11/2023

Changed plans for the higher fells due to heavy snow, almost impassable roads and limited visibility so completed a nice lower level route from Keswick instead. Walked to Castlerigg Stone Circle and then onwards to Low & High Rigg.Gerry the Ranger28/11/2021

2.7 mile out-and-back walk from William's Beck on west side of High Rigg. Walked along small road then up to St. Johns-in-the-Vale church from there it is an easy ascent on grass paths to High Rigg summit. Nice views. Headed back to car almost same way but went up onto Low Rigg on way back. Mainly cloudy. A few people about. 258m ascent overall. Earlier that day we bagged Rannerdale Knotts.DanTrig14/06/2021
