From SW parking near cattle grid, but not easy when wet. Crook Knott first. Then up track and onto top.PeterD23/12/2023
From the fisherman's CP just over the cattle grid. A muddy path heads in an easterly direction from here then curls around the SE side of Borwick Hill until entering gorse free ground that allows simple access to the top.summitter08/10/2023
Same route as summiteer. Followed each others steps today but did not meet up.cjo08/10/2023
From anglers' parking area to SW, round to N side of hill.Minto29/12/2022
Easy parking after driving across the cattle grid at the road junction to the SW. Notice say private parking for anglers with a maximum of 5 cars but bags of room for everybody. Good track to the summit from here.moorsman21/09/2022
Parked where the Dales Way leaves the road. Followed the DW to gate into second field, then straight up Crook Knott. Back to the car and along the road to the cattle grid, giving access to Borwick Hill. (S)silveracorn_alan17/02/2022

1/4 Parked near Dales way footpath, just south of Borwick Hill, walked along to the cattle grid and accessed Borwick Hill from North West of the Cattle Grid for easy access, then through Borwick Fold to rejoin the DalesWay over to School Knott Tarn and up to Heathwaite Hill, backtracked all along Dales Way to Climb Crook Knott - use gate off the Dales Way enclosed trackway to gain access without having to cross any walls. Then over broken walls to reach footpath down to the Dales Way road which leads over to Staveley. Up this road, almost to the wide low barn, use gate on RHS to get easy access on Kerris Hill via three gates. Then back on Dales Way lanes to car. 3.5 hours enjoyable after a rainy morning.nickywood126/10/2019

From cattle grid, diagonally towards the right across grass, avoiding the gorse-covered crag, to pick up a grassy track alongside the broken wall, to reach the craggy summit. Good views. Lovely summit.Moorponder02/04/2017
