Having failed to identify a suitable parking spot near Newlands (my planned approach from the north) I continued around to the southern approach and parked on the grass verge nearly opposite to the drive for Banks Farm. Then it was a straightforward stroll up the drive through the 'garden' and over the stile to the footpath which runs virtually straight over the 'summit' in the field next to the dead windmill. Third and final minor summit in a short excursion to pick up some of the very few remaining summits close to home and not requiring a prolonged and very obvious trespass.ytfckent20/04/2023
Up PROW from Banks farm through muddy fields. Summit adjacent to windturbine which has had rotor and generator destroyed due to prevoius storms.cjo05/02/2023

Squeezed onto roadside near Banks Farm, up their drive, through yard, out into pastures. Very inquisitive but harmless cattle on way. Small wind turbine near summit but not intrusive. Pleasant Viewsnickywood110/10/2020
Parked on lane below Banks Farm. Ground very soft from recent rain, frost, and cattle. Quite hard with crutches.GordonAdshead10/11/2019

Repeat with Jenx and Bryher but from South this time. Verge parking by lane to farm, across three fields to top area. Very windy. Good views to Hesket and Caldbecknordicstar09/02/2019

Parking on the bend west of Newlands. Easy but unpleasant start to the path through a working factory wick with lorries (Makes you wonder why you are here with all the Lakeland hills to chose from). From here the path follows the track until close to the summit ... it does not veer off through the farm as shown on the map. Summit to the right in an open field. 20 pointless minutes return.moorsman10/05/2018

Last one of the day on cycle route from Fellside Centre taking in a few tumps and trigs. Path via Banks Farm to indistinct high point in grassy field. Wander arround in darkness before settling on NY 35097 38876 as highest point.RichardM01/01/2016
From the N, then f/p and track past mast as previous loggers. Frisky bullocks in summit field shied away when countered.Aye Jimmy11/08/2015

Climbed from the North, a grain storage / malting depot. Track runs to single windturbine but private and gated, easy walk though. Final field to top, great views of Northern Fells and Caldbeck valley.nordicstar06/10/2014
Dull dull dull. For completists only. I trundled up here on the way out to Fauld's Brow. Boomcbiydw207/08/2013
