Plentiful parking along the verge alongside the road east of Tarnhouse Tarn. South down the road and turn left into Beck Lane. Take the gate set back slighly from the road and follow the fenceline through a series of fields to the summit. All the access route is gated so no climbing.moorsman08/05/2023
Grassy domed field on a murky day.Denise 24/01/2020
Parked near the Kitridding farm shop, walked along the lane and then up through fields. Used field about 200 metres along from the house with the posh gates, then can get round wall corner to right and up through gates with no climbing. Easy.nickywood104/08/2019
Wide grass verge parking opposite farm at SD 5783 8329 - friendly farmer came out and said i was welcome to park there all day.carole engel01/01/2019
Not really feasible to park by that gate where others have - very annoying and frustrating for the farmer if he can't access his field. He's trying to earn a living, we're having fun - not fair. Rant over. Roadside verge parking near the farm (SD 5783 8329). Walked back along road to THAT gate, sheep pastures to the top.jonglew30/11/2018
14th hill of a 14 hr day covering 50 kms linking 24 Tumps on foot with Darren. Chose a quiet car free moment to go through gate and stomp up the hill and back.Chris Pearson16/07/2016
From NW, parked just before farm. Lady from farm spoke to me on my return, pointed out land was private and next time to please open gate not hop over, although in my defence if climbing gates I always go hinge side to avoid any damage... Rick's policy best here.RHW22/03/2015
Wasn't 6am, farm looked busy so took longer approach from NW at lane end junction near Kitridding Farm. Walked down road past duck pond to grassy lane on left. Up this, along W edge of wood, then field down to beck (large today). Crossed this upstream at fallen tree. Gates, hedges to final wall which also has gate.Aye Jimmy25/02/2015
