same route as CJO. Roe deer and fawn seen | trimarc2 | 16/10/2023 |
Up the mast access track then up tothe wooden viewing platform. Onwards to tump and hump. | cjo | 14/10/2023 |
Parked near gate (space for 1 car) to N of Lowscales Bank for a circuit of Lowscales Bank, Lowscales Hill and Millom Park. | PGCE | 31/08/2023 |
3/8. Parked near Po House, up footpath and across to summit of Lowscales Hill, then negotiating walls mostly using gates to Lowscales Bank. Then dropped down to RoW, through gate and up along wall side to mast, over onto RoW through wood and up to Millom Park and the observation tower. A great view on a sunny day but very windy as Storm Otto was passing! Then back past the mast and down to the road. 7km with 500m ascent taking 2 hours. | silveracorn_alan | 17/02/2023 |
From Lowscales Bank using bridleway towards Bankside then track up to mast and path to summit. Descended to Millom, Hodbarrow and coast back to Kirksanton | AlanD | 15/03/2022 |
From Lowscales Bank via gate at SD 159828, up road to transmitter (no wall climbing required), through-stane stile in wall beside transmitter compound, then public FPs S into clear felled area and on to substantial wooden platform on summit. | Isbjorn | 28/12/2021 |
Good parking to the east and then followed forest tracks to viewing platform summit. | Alan Caine | 24/12/2021 |

Best to climb Lowscales first as there is a stinker of a wall between them. The easiest crossing is possibly at the wall junction where there are helpful stones on the Lowscales side only. Alternatively, retrace your steps and restart the ascent to lowscales at the foot of the mast access road. | moorsman | 11/05/2021 |

After gardening job at The Hill to walk Jill from School Ellis car park ..on circular walk ..cut up to the new look out platform (have been to the site many times in the past , this time to log ) then continued around the path circuit and back past the Quarry entrance to return to the car ..missing our regular fell walking in these uncertain times ! | Grey Hare | 15/04/2020 |
3/5 Brocklebank Wood, Midlow Hill, Millom Park, Lowscales Hill and Lowscales Bank. Nice circle of hills in this remote corner. Sunny day and great views of Black Coombe. Probably last walk for a bit if we get lock down but fingers crossed. | nickywood1 | 22/03/2020 |

From Bankside, up track to Comms tower, then FP through trees to felled area. Up to viewing tower which seemed weird now that trees have been felled. Good views. On to Lowscale Bank. | PeterD | 28/12/2019 |
With Lowscales Bank from grass verge parking at SD 15916 83043 | David Gradwell | 31/03/2019 |

From Lowscales bank up road to comms tower: forest mostly cleared: Amused that there is a footpath sign pointing up the steps of the summit tower. | GordonAdshead | 23/03/2019 |
From Lowscales Bank, climbed tower, back to Bankside. | Wycombe Wanderer | 16/02/2019 |
From verge parking at the lane entrance to mast. Could drive up as gate not locked. Used the footpath to gain the interesting summit tower. Continued to neighbouring Lowscales Bank | nordicstar | 10/02/2019 |
Roadside verge parking (SD 1593 8307). Took the mast access track (signed as a RoW); wall stile at back of the compound links to a good forest track (a RoW) which leads off to the summit. A large wooden viewing platform has been constructed there for some reason, provides good views though. | jonglew | 11/12/2018 |
On way back from Lowscales Hill(qv). A public fp sign points to the top of the summit tower... so no doubt. Fair views- grey, dry day with Black Combe's top 50m. in cloud. New luxury wall stile by mast so down service road back to Bankside. With brother, Pete | pwheeler | 26/09/2017 |

After Lowscales Bank. See Chris's log for stile and don't climb wall - too many collapsed bits already. All quiet Sun pm, last hill of the weekend. | RHW | 19/07/2015 |
Serious forestry operations creating a wasteland were going on, meant keeping a low profile. The rain and mist helped. The summit copse and platform have so far been spared - just. | Aye Jimmy | 05/06/2015 |
With Lowscales Bank from Po House - parking tightish. | jimbloomer | 10/03/2015 |

Linked from Lowscales Bank via a surprisingly good waymarked footpath from the transmitter pylon (stile over wall). Even more surprising was the 20 foot high wooden viewing platform on the summit. This will need jacking up soon as the surrounding conifers grow as already the view is confined towards Black Coombe. Messy forestry works had quagmired in places the path down east. Useful to be wearing proper walking boots for once rather than fell shoes. The proposed quarry extension to the east will eat into the forest, but not the summit | Chris Pearson | 26/12/2014 |
