Parked opposite the entrance to the centre. Notice saying that it was a passing place but adequate room to accommodate a car as well. Easy direct line up through trees to a clear summit/moorsman15/07/2021

3rd of a 6 Tump circular walk from / to Penny Bridge with Lesley, linking quiet narrow lanes and field footpaths - all very pretty with colourful autumnal leaves. We played statues on the summit for 5 minutes as two deer stared at us until eventually we moved and off they charged for safety.Chris Pearson29/10/2015
From W: parking on verge by old barn. Bagged Crooks Pastures first, then this on way back as diversion off path, nice rocky pasture. Tied gate allows passage thru wall. Last of about 50 South Cumbria tumps bagged in 3 days - lovely area.RHW03/08/2015
