Parked in pull-in to NW at SD 46611 74460 - SSW along road for about 70m & then along waymarked permissive path to pedestrian gate into access land - E. across roughish ground to the summit cairn which is tucked away behind a thorny bush.gerrybowes29/02/2024
Train to Silverdale, good FP from N down E side then good path going WNW and easy access to summit area from path high pointtrimarc223/08/2023
From Gib Farm campsite(lovely camp) via low tide along the estuary, dodging the Bays infamous quicksand. Initially appeared HP was unobtainable, or at least not worth the pain, but perservere and the summit is reachable by a moderately trodden pathAlfa1M30/07/2023
Limited roadside parking at the start of the path due west. Easy path from the road to the start of the open access. The first few metres after the start of the summit field gives you real hope but, when the trees start, this vanishes. The actual summit is surrounded for about 150m by an undercover of brambles, gorse, blackthorn and nettles, everyone trying to mark you for life. The summit cairn is but a short relief before the start of the return journey. Takes longer than it looks on the map.moorsman13/07/2023
Way up from Lancashire Coastal Way to the SSW. The last bit is brambly.Alan Moore30/11/2022
Lancashire's lowest tump. A gorgeous sunny autumnal day of blue skies after the first overnight frost of the autumn and non-stop rainy yesterday. 19k circular walk with L from Beatham exploring the limestone and wooded delights of Silverdale. Sunned ourselves on Silverdale beach for lunch - I stripped down to a t-shirt (briefly) whilst L even removed her down jkt as the day warmed up here. Little raised clamber onto summit rocks through brambly vegetation - trodden down by previous baggers. All very pleasant with silvery reflecting low sun coastal views. On to Leighton Moss bird reserve next - bumping into and amazingly recognising (partly by her voice) Heather W - (Sally's sister) last seen 30ish years ago!Chris Pearson13/10/2022
