First walk in YDNP after lockdown lifted! Parked at car park at Halton Heights. Followed southern edge of moor over High Crag to Embsay Crag, then track north to Brown Bank. Continued along gravel estate road (bridleway) to SD 984 570, then turning north along track past the cross to the obelisk, from Cracoe Fell continued on by wall to next estate road and broke off to visit crumbling trig at Thorpe Fell Top. returned to car using more estate roads past the two reservoirs and up to Halton Heights. K Whitewashed trig sneakily hidden by the cairn on walk up using sketchy tracks through the heather. Nice view with the reservoir looking welcoming for a dip in the sun but there is a large black cloud coming with snow and hail so I'm off.crazy26/03/2016
12.3 mile circular from car park at Halton Moor walked up to Halton Height (High Crag), then followed lane up to Brown Bank, across to the cross then onto Cracoe Fell (Watt Crag), walked back down wall to another lane then cut across heather to Thorpe Fell Top trig, cut back to lane then followed lanes to Upper Barden Reservoir dam back to the car park.
