Recce of half of the Punk Panther ‘Skipton Skedaddle’ 50mi route: Sharp Haw, Rough Haw (not on the route but added as a ‘bonus’), Weets Top and Horrows Hill. Didn’t have time to add Flasby Fell after Rough Haw.ewangibb8723/03/2024
Parked in Flasby - room for 2 cars just before the small bridge where the Dales High Way joins. Followed the DHW to Sharp Haw, returning over Rough Haw. Mid section of path very muddy and wet. Hazy views from both tops. Solo.richard6915/12/2023

Along the Dales High Way from Flasby, shooing a few keen cows and their calves out of the way in the lower fields. Sharp & Rough Haw then onto Flasby Fell, descending back to the camper via the ROW from Flasby Moor Side and Suntergill. A very pleasant 90 minute round.summitter13/05/2022

A lockdown walk around Sharp Haw, Rough Haw and Flasby Fell from the entrance to the National Park at the SE corner on Bog Lane. All rather misty and murky, so no real views up into the Dales. 9.4km with 400m ascent in 2h20m. (S)silveracorn_alan01/03/2021

After a very wet wild camp, we drove to Flasby, the clouds parted, and we were set for a beaut walk. Staring along the High Dales way up towards Flasby Fell. We did some bouldering up on Rough Haw, and had to bypass some Highland cows with crazy hair before walking up Sharp Haw. We shared a beer and a cider on the windy Sharp Haw, and dropped off the south side to bypass another set of cows, then moved west off the path to gain another ridge next to crag wood. We did some crag top yoga here, and planked the cairn. There were soem more awesome boulders here to climb, and Mark even soloed a pretty high grade scramble/climb whilst I swam in a definet bog. Finally, we tried to find Dead Eyes Wood; we were trekking and hacking our way through ferns, woods and undergrowth, to eventually come full circle back to the path. Having abbandoded this, me and Mark ran off from Dannies to hide and ambush, but she took a different path, and heard us creeping up - classic. Having ended a nice walk justByronHaywood09/08/2019

Very limited parking in Flasby. A couple of cars can park in a space alongside the last but one house on the dead end lane. Alternatively, a couple can tuck themselves into the edge on the road junction. Path up to the col then a second good track to the summit.moorsman05/04/2017

Parked opposite gate just below corner of lane in Flasby. Not sure if it's for walkers or a turning space for the gate opposite. Waymarked path at first towards Sharp Haw. Good going all the way to the top and superb views given the modest height. Easy path through bracken to Rough Haw. Direct route to Flasby Fell has no path and two walls, but one has a gate and the other has a fallen section. Long horned cattle near top of Flasby Fell were docile. Descended NW to leave access land at footpath.ijpowell18/06/2016

Easy down/up from Sharp Haw, aggregates train to Rylstone seen heading north; followed by walk back to Gargrave via Flasby; Dales Highway footpath not that clear on descent to field - use gate in middle of dry-stone wall as guide.JOHNS12/02/2016
Came to the Dales to walk Cracoe Fell, but after seeing it in thick cloud we thought we would bag Sharp Haw and Rough Haw, we've seen them so many times on the way to the higher Dales peaks so we thought we would finally bag them, 3.5 mile from Bog lane. Then off to Cracoe Fell in better weather.DanTrig11/02/2016

Two summit walk for the cubs to add to the 50 peaks for 50 years for the 16th. Fine clear weather & dry giving the cubs a good hill walking taster. Some of the older cubs were started on navigation basics.higlett07/03/2015
