Parked to the west at 03779 62355 to keep away from farmers after the refusal at Kail Hill. Up through two pastures to the trig and beyond to the summit. Use the field to the left of the wall to avoid any fences. | clivevilla | 19/03/2024 |
6th and final top of a long traverse from Pateley Bridge to Grassington. Up Hartlington Rakes then fp just E of summit. Easily up to top not far from pond then Trig pillar continuing West to rejoin Hartlington Rakes then footpaths west to lead to Dales Way following this into Grassington via Linton falls. Stayed at Bridge End Farm-recommended and even has a Holy well in the back garden. | Dazingdale | 18/10/2022 |
Grimwith reservoir, along tracks and paths, then on to Haugh. | Flatfield | 25/09/2022 |
Raikes Farm developed as a holiday retreat, parking deterred. Approached from NW, SE 038624, gate into the more northern field saves having to go past cows and climb over fence at top | henryfm | 18/09/2022 |

Like others at Raikes Farm then a pleasant stroll to the top on the footpath with short walk left to Trig and top. It is a cracking viewpoint for the Bardon moors and for Simon's Seat. Looked lovely all round today in the heather. | nickywood1 | 19/08/2021 |
Parked by seat, near Raikes farm. Up FP and then up to trig and HP. | PeterD | 29/06/2021 |
A medley of 4 Tumps in 2 walks around Burnsall. For the first I parked on the road on the east side of the bridge at Burnsall and walked south along the Dales Way past Masons campsite to SE 057 595, there taking the diagonal path through the woodland up from the previously mentioned boulder, then onto the bracken covered summit of Haugh. Retraced route back past Masons to Woodhouse Farm, then following the bridleway onto the road through Hartlington and up the hill to Raikes Farm. Then along the FP thru 2 fields and left by the far side of the wall to the Trig on top of Langerton Hill. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 29/03/2021 |
Parking on the road to SW immediately north of Raikes Farm (by the seat) alt 227m. Waymarked footpath all the way to the summit field. Enter the summit field and follow the wall you have just crossed to the summit. 1.41km return, 25 minutes. | moorsman | 18/10/2018 |
