Car at chapel car park. Over Auchnashellock Hill. Bridge at 71286.15419. Up flank of An Beannan onto M Clachach. Round the Donald horseshoe finishing down the NW spur of BN Eun. Bridges at 69770.14179 to pass through gates to the car park.Moorponder14/10/2023
Parking both sides of bridge, or else at church (NN712161) (no parking W of church). Up Findhu Glen tk to bridge at NN725151. Then pathless, tuddy blussocks and deep veg hiding deep drainage channels, went straight up to get through it ASAP, then made ascending TR R to NW ridge, where still no path. Beinn nan Eun summit defended by hags. ATV tk leaves summit and descends a grass corridor between hags, then can TR SW below hags and re-ascend another ATV tk up another grass corridor between Beinn Odhar’s hags. Descended NW ridge to pick up some An Tx near NN714140, but they did not help much, just more tough veg hiding deep drainage channels – break a leg here and no-one will hear you scream. Very faint ATV tk through last 600m of tough veg to bridge at NN712154. A tough route on which to complete my Full House. Very obvious that very few folks come this way, not recommended. Perhaps folks now use the approach tk to the wind farm on the S flanksIsbjorn23/09/2023
From Auchnashelloch Church CP to Auchnashelloch Hill, Am Beannan, Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag, Beinn Odhar, Beinn na Eun and Cnoc Brannan. Grass, heather, peat hags.sclater03/08/2023
Summit marked with a post. Once above the bhealach it was relatively straightforward to weave a route through the maze of peat hags.langskill26/05/2023
From mapped car park by the church (NN 7109 1609). Walked ~560m W along road to field gate, then Am Beanan, Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag and its East Top and Beinn Odhr first. Then across to here and return for a 14.6km round. With DS.jonglew06/02/2023
Collecting my final New Donalds on an overcast day with Martin66 & Smithy. Parked at church, through gate opposite & then crossed burn above ruins & straight up tedious grass slope to Beinn nan Eun. Followed small path & then grassy break through hags to Beinn Odhar. Walked on a bearing until top wind turbine appeared in mist & then handrailed fence on a small path, skirting bog at bottom to one side up to trig & then Uamh Bheag, my final New Donald. No view but sun trying to break through. Passed over true E top, down ENE spur crossing Allt Ollach high up & then directly across the boggy bealach on to W bank of Allt Mor to join the outward route. A shorter, boggy but feasible route of return with lots of small animal tracks to help. A long trip from Merrick at age of 14!NotReallyABagger19/11/2022

Long walk in on wind farm road from Burn of Cambus to highest turbine. Maybe 200m of tough stuff then eased to top. Followed trenches down and then back up easily enough then was surprised to to much the same back to nearest turbine. Then long walk back.SS27/04/2022
From Beinn Odhar over dry ground. Pleased to see fence post marking summit! Descended down NW, over Allt Mor upstream and back to church. 10 miles, 2700', 5 hoursMichaelF02/04/2022
From Beinn Odhar. Descended the broad northwesterly ridge to a bridge over Findhuglen Water. Followed track back to the road and short walk west to car park. Solo.Dangerous Dave05/03/2022

My sixth visit through the peat hags - my sanity must be in question. Still, now done for current round of the Donalds. Long exit via wind farmColin Crawford09/07/2021

If doing first, walk up the Glen to the estate bothy, cross at that bridge, through the shielding, then the gate. ATV track takes you almost to the ridge from there. Harder to find on the descent!Belfarm 30/08/2020
From the bridge at end of Glen Artney road. With B and R.jenx07/08/2020
Parked at Glen Artney Church car park, then walked up Findhu Glen, then ascenting up Beinn nan Eun (no cairn only a wooden post). Over Beinn Odhar then up to Uamh Bheag to see the carved wood face! Descenting via Meall Clachach, I stupidly carried on down the north face of Am Beannan was far too steep for comfort. The peat hags were extensive across the tops. Sunny intervals with a moderate breeze all day.chillyman807/05/2020
From church car park in Glen Artney, W along road to bridge over Water of Ruchill, then across fields and up An Beannan, on to Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag, then E to trig point and E top, then Beinn Odhar and Beinn nan Eun, descending N to bridge over river S of Auchnashelloch and back to car parkkdbennett21/03/2020

The final top on an anticlockwise circuit of the 4 Donalds above Glen Artney. Parked in the church car park at 711461 & up Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag & Beinn Odhar. From Beinn Odhar, skirted to left of main area of groughs & ascended up areas of grass for much of the way to the unmarked summit. Descended NNW between small peat hags & then over long grass to the vehicle bridge at 712154 - Short walk along track & road to car. (S)gerrybowes20/08/2019
Down to col with Beinn Odhar and up through peat trenches to reach summit post of BnE where second phase lunch was taken. Moved off NNW through hags and down shoulder, veering NE to use bridge, ca.723152, to cross Allt na Caillich and gain the track in Findhu Glen taking NW to white gate (locked) at road, turning L down to P; paid short visit to GA church. Cloud had markedly increased, with the threat of rain. First visit to BnE was also solo on 17/10/2015, which was the compleation of my first Donald Round.jacobus08/07/2019

From Glen Artney car park up Beinn Odhar and one way traverse over the higher hump summit, circuitous route to cross streams and up onto the TuMPs of Beinn Clack, the summit and the outlying NE lower TuMPs and 5 mile walk back along road in the dark.vegibagger17/11/2018
From the Auchnashelloch church car park. Took the track up Findhu Glen, crossing the burn by a stone bridge. Then up the NW ridge to the peat-hag summit. Wandered around likely high points. Onwards to Beinn Odhar. Solo.Man of Kernow111/06/2018
Need to use church carpark - nearest parking to start of track. Warning notices re explosives, no unauthorised personnel, etc, but no sign of military activity so walked along track up Findhu Glen past cottage, across bridge and zigzagged up easy but steep ground to summit plateau. Loads of peat hags but fortunately today the gaps were filled with hard snow making the going easy. Good visibility with views to Southern Uplands and Arran. Shame about the monstrous wind turbines. Took a direct line north on descent and crossed one of the many bridges to regain track. Surface was frozen solid today but guess would normally be pretty boggy lower down.AndrewFinnimore27/01/2018

Followed SMC Grahams and Donald circuit: Am Beannan - Meall Clachach - Uamh Bheag W and E tops - Beinn Odhar - Beinn nan Eun. Rime on the ground helped with the peatier sections. Otherwise Spring-like, with a skein of geese flying North, bright sun and a cloud inversion.Nick Down121/01/2017

Route as per SMC Grahams & Donalds book. 7 hours for the circuit: hard going for most of the way with no paths to speak of and lots of peat hags.TRG31807/07/2016

From church cp, up Findhu Glen to wooden bridge, then steep up to summit. Second to last Donald.ngthack06/04/2016
Solo; continuation of walk around Meall Clachach, Uamh Bheag and Beinn Odhar, through deep peat trenches down and up to summit post-in-stones of BnE - the final Donald! Descended NNW into Findhu Glen, crossing Allt na Caillich, 0.5 km downstream from Findhuglen house, on an unmarked bridge; walked along track to meet road in Glen Artney and visited the little church for a moment of quiet reflexion. Good walking weather with earlier frost melting in strong sunshine and later thin cloud developing.trienbrae17/10/2015

Visited the Auld Kirk at Achnashelloch before starting walk. Lovely crisp morning with frost covering the ground. Wasn't expecting the wind turbines (due to using old map). one of them scared me to death when it suddenly loomed from the mist.thenomad08/12/2009
