A wet and wintery climb on a 10km walk with Guy & Simone, Jenna and Izzy, setting out from Chipping. Need to come back to get the view because it was a total white-out at the top! | MrHallorann | 06/01/2019 |
Weather fair. | MountainMac | 25/08/2018 |
Started out with theDev from Fell Foot parking area. Opted for diagonal zig-zag approach rather than the steep direct ascent. Cloudy with light breeze, dry underfoot. Route took in Parlick with Hen Harrier hunting. Continued along ridge west of boundary wall for excellent views to Irish Sea over the Fylde. Ascent to Fair Snape (West cairn) easy followed by pleasant walk across plateau to eastern cairn. Peat hags bone dry this summer, even after a day of heavy rain in Lancashire yesterday.Ideal for light-footed bog-trotting. Returned to Fell Foot via east side of boundary wall overlooking the picturesque Greenlough Clough. Traversed the slopes of Parlick before the steep descent to the car. | thedobber | 17/07/2018 |

Summit has large pile of stones fashioned into a low wind shelter and an iron fence post nearby appears to mark high point. Lovely soft and fading evening light with twinkling lights appearing in valley below. Windy on top but sheltered ascent on muddy rutted path from end of road with layby. Murmuring starling display impressive. | Denise | 06/01/2018 |
