| As others, I parked at end of entrance lane to Wolfden Hall. Straight up Parlick and followed wall to Fair Snape Fell. Either side of the wall is ok as there are several crossing points. | Started out with theDev from Fell Foot parking area. Opted for diagonal zig-zag approach rather than the steep direct ascent. Cloudy with light breeze, dry underfoot. Route took in Parlick with Hen Harrier hunting. Continued along ridge west of boundary wall for excellent views to Irish Sea over the Fylde. Ascent to Fair Snape (West cairn) easy followed by pleasant walk across plateau to eastern cairn. Peat hags bone dry this summer, even after a day of heavy rain in Lancashire yesterday.Ideal for light-footed bog-trotting.
