A drive from Gargrave and a walk around Bowland Knotts and surrounding area - surprisingly not as boggy as expected given overnight rain. The sound of curlews pierced the air with mippets darting here and there on a calm day. | JOHNS | 24/06/2019 |

From cattle grid at top of pass. Currently there are signs saying Access Land closed due to fire risk - which I chose to ignore, but learned afterwards from our B&B that the local gamekeeper is a bit fierce and not to be crossed! | Crib Goch | 06/08/2018 |

14 mile circular tramp with L from cottage down NE near Eldroth. After swampy field footpaths a lovely 2 mile walk up the firm tarmac of the moorland road - such lonely empty roads as this should perhaps be 'listed' as are some buildings as being intrinsic to the character of the landscape and worth protecting? Come to think of it so should dry stone walls? Pleased that I also visited on the off chance the alternative summit to east of road which looked as high as trig - unaware it is now listed. Long often swampy moorland tramp then followed alongside wall then fence over Hailstones Hill and v. swampy to Burn Moor. Managed, after a lengthy struggle, to untangle a sheep with its head and horns jammed solid in a wire fence. | Chris Pearson | 28/10/2016 |
A nice 10 mile round walk including the 2 Towers on White Hill and Bowland Knott. Underfoot conditions were slightly damp, it helped that we'd have a week or 2 of fine weather before the walk otherwise it'd be quite boggy. The walk is over moorland with no real defined paths (other than the gun track up from Greet Bridge). Some ability to navigate is required. | b2dan | 14/05/2016 |
With Jo, from roadside. Also visited alternative top. Weather; sunny, cold wind, good visibility. | amblerbob | 24/04/2016 |

Walked on my own from Cross of Greet Bridge. Glorious sunshine with a welcome breeze. - Enjoyed the climb up this fell. After White Hill it is good to be on clear paths with a wall to guide you to the summit. Great views of the Yorkshire Three Peaks and Pendle Hill from the summit. | flockwatcher | 01/07/2014 |
