Storm Eunice blew thru on Friday, so OMC Weekend trip to Glen Clova was cancelled. Saturday 19th, picked up Andy Whitehead from Dunblane and met Nicky Creadland at the Craigmead car park for 10am. A few inches of snow had fallen on Friday, but it was blue skies all day. The track was well trodden and lots of kids were sledging around the car park. Back to the car for 14:45. The road up from Falkland was a bit icy and snome cars got into trouble in the afternoon.chillyman819/02/2022
Via the Bunnet stone, then on to East Lomond.Grinner12/02/2022
Parked at walkers Car park by Holl reservoir with a view to doing all 3 Marilyns here. Followed footpaths to East Lomond first and then the standard motorway across to West Lomond. Intention then was to descend into Glen Vale and ascend Bishop Hill to complete the round. Would work but we abandoned at Glen Vale and the weather conditions were becoming more and more miserable.sarahk23/01/2022

Cup of tea in the Falklands Estate cafe, through Falkland and then up to East Lomond (very steep) and down to the car park.tsharp25/11/2021

With E. Took opportunity of break in weather for an afternoon walk. From Craigmead car park following Walk Highlands recommended route. Good car park, toilets and clear track - what’s not to like. East & West Lomond 4 hr circuit from Pillars of Hercules car park with L and the 2 dogs and local friend Bill F -who only had time for East Lomond - going up the N side then down east to the popular high col car park. Here we joined the world and their dogs on this gloomy sunday afternoon on the main path. Our biggest challenge keeping an 'on heat' Treacle away from all the passing dogs! Blasted up the final direct option of steep grass steps up the final summit volcanic plug -to keep ahead of a closing fell runner! Claggy and windy on top but soon down to calmer greyness. Down Mapsie Glen path alongside nicely cut mini gorge in sandstone.Chris Pearson16/08/2020

From small car parking layby not far from a wind turbine (lane via Gateside and Upper Urquhart) - track to Bunnet Stones (Bishop Stanes Mushroom sculpted and intriguing with its man made cave below) ascended to trig / summit via Hoglayers. Gleaming white this morning, then cloud topped, but by the time I got on the slopes the ice had melted and the weather relented after the initial hour when the wind turned NE. So up the short, N side and down the recommended WNW side. Fine on the top, decent views, could keep an eye on Largo Law to see what that NE wind was blowing in. On to Bishop Hill.pwheeler22/03/2017

11.1 mile walk from car park near Craigmead, started in overcast weather, clouds just brushing the summits, walked along lane and up to West Lomond in improving weather, left the summit SE and down trails not marked on map to Lothrie Burn, walked along main path then along boggy tracks to the top of Bishop Hill, down the same way and along main path east passing Little Ballo farm, back to car park, while it was starting to rain, had lunch at the car and 30 mins later headed out to East Lomond in rain and low cloud, followed path to summit and utterly useless toposcope (thick cloud), visited trig and walked back to car.DanTrig12/10/2016

first of three tops today, starting from the Bonnet Stane car park near Gateside this 3.5 mile walk with a climb of 400m can be found in Jonny Muir's book of UK County tops. I took 1 hour 45 mins to finish the walk and care should be taken when coming down Hoglayers in damp conditions as I slid a third of the way down before righting myself.WAYNE ROWLETT25/08/2016
Parked in CP near Easter Gospetry. NE along road to the path leading to the Bunnet Stone and from there, took a direct line straight to the top. VV steep in places, but doable. SSW descent to path and return to car park. 6 miles.callumorr13/08/2016

Done in conjunction with Bishop hill. Twelfth day in a row on the hills first one that left me dry at the end! The local authority in their wisdom have tried to put a path diversion through glen Vale due to 'danger of falling rocks'. Elf n' safety at its worse. Obviously i ignored this silly edict and i saw that at the western end of the path somebody had ripped the sign down. Good on them! I urge everybody else to ignore these foolish commands.thenomad25/02/2014
