From the car park at the Singing Ringing Tree circular walk down to Pennine bridleway, then up through Buckley Wood to Thieveley Pike. On via Clowbridge Reservoir to Crown Point. Freezing cold day for August, rained throughout the walk.Lazylizzie29/08/2020

Parked at Clowbridge Reservoir CP - Clow Height - Hameldon Hill (and trig) - Black Hill - Burnt Hill - Burnley Way - Crown Point (Summit) - through plantation to Singing Ringing tree (very musical in the strong wind) - Dunnockshaw Community woodland (where the rain comes and gets us) then along edge of Clowbridge reservoir (passing Sailing Club) - WET! - Dried off over a coffee at Sypon in Rawtenstall.briandavies26/01/2019

1st of 5 hills today on a route from the Rosehill House hotel in Burnley to Walsden, taking the main road S then continuing to Nelson golf club, on fp to Broadhead moor farm then on minor road SE to access land, S past Crown Point house and then direct to summit. Atmospheric misty conditions. Took access land SE to reach Crown Point road &followed this to reach track....onwards to Singing Ringing tree.Dazingdale19/02/2017
