Affetside to Jumbles reservoir and back including the summit at the Millenium gardens. First walk after lung surgery so it was a tough return to walking, despite being such a moderate summit.Lazylizzie02/10/2022

Started from Walves and set off on a path through the woods to the end of the track and a quick detour left to the top of Top of Quarlton, on a glorious day with views to Winter Hill, Peel Tower and the Clwydian Hills, then through Turton Bottoms to Jumbles Reservoir and onto the Tump of AffetsideWayne Mac28/09/2018

6th and final tump of the day, this one completing Bury! I climbed Turton Heights as an out and back then a drop off by my Airbnb hosts at Pick-up Bank continue my main route, climbing Rushy Hill, Rushton's Height, Scholes Hill Boundary (Bury Current Co. top) Bull Hill and Top of Quarlton, taking track South to A676. I changed my route as I was running out of time to get back from Bromley so took main road (instead of footpaths up and over steep ground) to Walves Reservoir then the Roman road, Watling Stret to Affetside. The summit is so benign it is easy to miss, what a contrast with Bull Hill! A nice area of contemplation and relaxation. After checking either side of the bench and Anvil I continued, now running at times, West to A676 then via fp through fishing lakes to reach Bromley Cross, just in time to take Rail replacement bus to Bolton, where I caught a train to Stockport and then back to Nottingham.Dazingdale26/11/2017
