From Roseberry Topping. Couldn't see the path. A mild heather hack but enjoying the walk so much I didn't care at all. On to Easby Moor.Wycombe Wanderer16/10/2022

Superb clear sunny wintry for a quick ascent from the large free car park to the South. Mapped path NE not apparent- Roseberry Topping route is gravelled. HP is at boundary stone amongst heather. Great views of RT.Denise 17/12/2020
From Gribdale Gate, initially ridge top track with fine and very clear views then NE over gently rising heather moorland to the high point BS. Clear skies, bright sunshine, Green Woodpeckers and Snipe.RichardM17/12/2020

5.5 mile circular from car park north of Easby Moor, followed field paths and minor roads then across to and through woods onto Cliff Rigg, from there we followed footpath to Roseberry Topping (2nd time bagged, first time in 2004!), then along Cleveland Way towards Great Ayton Moor, approached summit from north following under-used footpath then we headed quite easily across moor to Cleveland Way and back to car park. Afterwards drove to and bagged Gisborough Moor, cloudy with rare sun, plenty of people about.DanTrig20/10/2020
From Roseberry Topping. Failed to find the path up from the west. Going down to the north, though I did see the path at times, I was mainly off it.Alan Moore01/09/2020

From end of public road. Track to WWII structure, then beat across short heather.jonglew06/09/2019
From Easby Moor, along the track leading to Roseberry Topping, then cutting across the heather in the absence of the paths marked on the OS map. The summit seemed to me on the crest of the path (at last!) between the cairn and the solitary stone, from where both appeared clearly lower.Nick Down126/08/2019
Evening ascent from Newton of Roseberry Topping (320m), Great Ayton Moor (318m), and Easby Moor (324m). Drizzle, low cloud, much ground water, some paths like streams. Distance ~ 12Km, ascent ~420m.VirtualMountain13/06/2019

Unhelpful paths didn't really go where we wanted them to get to /from the summit crossing the twiggy scratchy burnt heather in shorts as the sun dipped behind Roseberry Topping. Then onto Captain Cook's monument and a run down back to Great Ayton with Darren.Chris Pearson27/07/2016

Ample parking at the end of the Percy Cross road. Walk though the gate as far as the Starfish building and look for a path on your left. Although vague, it leads directly to the summit.moorsman03/04/2015
Walked up from car park at Cockshaw Hill. Path across Great Ayton Moor on OS map doesn't seem to exist on the ground but a pleasant tramp across the Open Access moorland.philos01/04/2015
