As moorsman. Summit field heavily ploughed. Forest felling inactive today. | Campbell Singer | 11/10/2017 |
Easy parking alongside the monument to the east. Walk along the road to the start of the footpath (the path from the parking area stops after 50m). A good track leads through the forest until it reaches the open fields. Here, follow the fence line until an obvious gap leads into the field before the summit. | moorsman | 30/04/2017 |
Visited both tops just in case. Mud galore. | Martin R | 22/01/2017 |
Parked by the monument. Lovely footpath through woods, then through gap in hedge and up stubble field to broad summit. With Eire, Evan, Sail, Danu, Coel & Alfie. | Dangerous Dave | 10/09/2016 |
With Eire, Evan, Sail, Coel & Alfie. The field is currently planted. We were just about to race up and bag the summit when the farmer walks past in green wellies! Abandoned our efforts. To return in the winter! | Dangerous Dave | 10/04/2016 |
As Aye Jimmy. (Alternative summit - 98m spot height on public footpath c1.2km ENE) | David Gradwell | 10/01/2016 |
Parked opposite the FBM east of Bulmer. If you walk back east for couple hundred metres and then climb gate to get into field to south it is totally free gate and fence free through to the field with the summit. | vegibagger | 10/04/2015 |
From E through Bulmer Hag wood, parking near monument to VII Earl of Carlisle. About 100m to N track leads through gate into wood. At some new plantings track goes off to R, ignore it and take next one 10m further on. Follow it to end of wood at gate, RoW goes round edge of field. Gap in hedge into field above, then into large grassy pasture - high point's there somewhere! | Aye Jimmy | 17/10/2014 |
