Parked in pull-in to E. by derelict brick garage & footbridge - As ronaldo333, up bridleway to just before the second wooden gate, stepped over foot high electric fence & then low wire fence into summit field - ENE along edge of field to corner & then a tramline can be followed across an autumn-sown cereal crop or ley to high point. | gerrybowes | 06/03/2024 |
as moorsman, but parked north of village near a prow that crosses the stream and walked back down | matty1971b | 10/02/2024 |
Agree with adrian field close to farm through which PROW goes appears higher than spot height | cjo | 12/02/2023 |
09:00, 10 degrees (15 later) sunny spells. Bridleway from SE. | Wycombe Wanderer | 14/10/2022 |
Parked in little lane opposite start of fp. Then as ronaldo333. | Campbell Singer | 31/01/2022 |
Part of a seven mile triple - Normanby Hill, Edstone Hill and Sinnington Common. | mrs_ts7 | 03/01/2022 |
Normanby Hill from GR: SE 73559 82164. Up northern of the two bridleways to just before second wooden gate. Electric fence at this point only a foot high so easy to step over and then step over a wire fence in the hedge to access the summit field. | ronaldo333 | 15/09/2021 |
Pasture field to NE of farm seems higher than the spot height in the field further to the NE. | Adrian | 20/07/2019 |
Accessed from the appropriately named Hill top farm. Top in middle of a freshly planted field. | vegibagger | 11/12/2015 |
From ESE. Late eve, electric fence was a bit of a shock, literally! Once under it, summit in ploughed field easily reached | RHW | 16/10/2015 |
Moorsman's approach until before last gate, then up banking and over fence corner by large tree. Summit in field beyond is off the official f/p and in view of farm. | Aye Jimmy | 11/10/2014 |
Plenty of roadside parking near the start of the northern of the two bridleways. Walk along the track, then through the trees until a bridle gate is reached. If you follow the path you need to negotiate a double fence to reach the summit. It may be better to head direct to the top through the field to your right soon after the bridlegate. | moorsman | 11/04/2014 |
