2 of 7 starting at the bog car park on 15 mile hike. Came down to the road and took turning planning on going all the way round the woods. But found a path that took me up through the woods to the west upto pellradhley hill then straight across to path summitThe-Z-Man25/11/2023
Parked to the north east at the start of the track. Nice views.Alan Caine02/04/2023

With Alma Aurea. Walked the ridge from Stiperstones to Black Rhadley, very scenic but a bit breezy.meltdiceburg03/10/2021

Easily from the northeast. I followed a path down to the south and then southeast which came out close to the lane junction.Alan Moore06/07/2020
11.7 mile walk from The Bog car park, followed surprisingly easy and well waymarked paths across fields to Mucklewick Hill, from there headed south through Nind farm and along unclassified road up onto Black Rhadley Hill, from there followed road a little further then path up to Nipstone Rock (22m prominence), then easy trail up onto Stiperstones (2nd time bagged), nice rocky climb up to the trig, then followed Shropshire way north with a quick heather bash onto The Paddock, turned back and followed contouring path west of Stiperstones back to The Bog. Clear and sunny/breezy day with amazing views of surrounding area and afar from the Radnor Forest up to Plynlimon area and Snowdonia; You could easily see the Berwyns, Aran Fawddwy, Cadair Idris and what looked like Glasgwm, Maesglase and maybe even Snowdon. Quite busy on Stiperstones but the rest of the walk fairly quiet. Earlier that day bagged Earls Hill.DanTrig20/06/2020
From the north. Parking for three cars and good path up to the top. Great vantage point. Docile but stubbornly static cows to walk through.Campbell Singer11/12/2019
On circuit after the two Linley Hill tops. Easy up from the NE, then more steeply S (but no great difficulties in the lower woodland) to meet road just W of the road junction, where there is a stile of sorts.milimana29/11/2019

Parked by gate to NE, access path to top. Good view.PeterD07/04/2019
1/5 from Nind. Circuit including Linley and heath mynd. Took black rhadley from the North which made it a heathery slog! Indeed Heath Mynd looked intimidating from here. The path down to the road was easy and welcoming, whoops.tumpawumpa28/12/2018
Parked at The Bog Tearooms. Nice walk along beautifully bleak country lanes before making ascent.Ed19/08/2018
Visited just prior to an event about Shropshire's curlews. Space to park to NE and then good path to summit. Lovely hill.Herbert Anchovy17/11/2017

Parked just off road by gate to the north and headed straight up path between the heather to top. Back down other side through woodland and over gate onto road.Stuzinho02/09/2017
Extensive purple heatherland views. Cairn. From Nipstone Rock where Sarah slipped and broke her ankle leaving us to continue alone. ( Sympathies to Sarah )Denise 19/08/2017
Track up N shoulder. Common Heather moorland with cairn at high point. Expansive views of moorland summits and farmed vallies.RichardM19/08/2017
A fairly high ranking hill for a fairly easy climb. I've always rather liked the totally out of place Monkey Puzzlegreboicus16/06/2017
Minsterley to White Grit over the Stiperstones Ridge. Easy walk up the path from the road to the north. A lovely viewpoint, with the Onny Valley giving depth and Heath Mynd appearing rather big. Took the steep path south to the road at approx SO 344/951, tried to do Heath Mynd but blocked by private signs and a watchful farmer so went on to Mucklewick Hill instead. Surely it wouldn't hurt to allow access to link it all up?Jake99425/01/2017

An easy one, nice little hill with good views ,lots of gun fire from the local range.heavyhorses25/06/2016
Squeeze-in spot for a single car alongside the open-access gate to the north-east (alt 1194). An obvious, easy path leads directly to the summit. 0.84 miles, 15 minutes return.moorsman20/04/2016
Final top of a three tump circuit. Having dropped to Cold hill farm Laura.w. and I then climbed the steep paths to Nipstone rock before carrying on to info board at base of Black Rhad. From here its a relatively short easy ascent. A very good path climbs all the way to the sizeable cairn. Heath Mynd looks suprisingly large from this spot. Theres a quad bike track that leads down almost as a continuation of the ascent path. About 1/4 way down theres a clearing and from the far side of this there is an insane mountain bike singletrack. Whoever built it is either elite or mad. Looking at the hill lists you wont see Black Rhad on many. But I defy anyone to climb it from the road by River west Onny and not be a sweaty mess by the summit.stig_nest17/03/2016

attractive heather summit; large cairn; another at viewpoint just SW of summit. tk from N; limited parking at 347957 RHW19/10/2003
On walk with Pete: Nipstone car pk- Nipstone Rock- Black Radley Hill- Linley- Linley Hill- Stiperstones- Perkins Bench- Nipstone car pk. Essentially this is the SW end of the ridge extending from Stiperstones; SW of this steep scree and rock to the river so we retraced to the road to Linley to do the walk. The hill wasn't officially access land in 2002, though was de facto, with many distance walking, running and equestrian events visiting the summit. Changeable, but usable weather.pwheeler17/03/2002
