4th hill of 13 today on two loops from Barr village, climbing Drumneilie Hill, Cairn Hill (via Fell Hill) to Pinbreck then i dropped down fenceline to climb to Craigenreoch's Trig pillar. Took some nice pics of a Skylark on a post before re-tracing steps to the flanks of Pinbreck Hill then took curving ascent up to Changue.Dazingdale12/05/2017

Parked in lay-by just south of the head of the Nick of Balloch (NX 34853 92379) and took Viewfinder's route to the summit - easy! A stony track contours up to the fence-line at the forest edge, then deteriorating to a faint ATV track, taking you all the way to the trig point.marktrengove30/05/2014
No need for tree scrambling, give that marked car park a miss! A nice and easy clear evening ascent from Nick of the Balloch. Parking space at 348924. Short grass all the way albeit steep at first. Faint vehicle tracks suppress the tussocks.Topographer5716/05/2014
Nick of Balloch, Craigenreoch, Pinbreck Hill, Kirstie’s Cairn, Largs Hill, Barr. A delightful day until the descent from Pinbreck where the battle of the Stika Spruce began! Google’s photos are about 10 years out of date, rides overgrown, lots of windthrow and as for Largs Hill...tim74717/03/2014
Truly awful hill. Avoid it if you can, Started from E at carpark at 352906. Couldn't find any rides on way up. NB there is forestry work to N. Howling gale and mist when reached edge of forest and finally over awkward barbed wire fence to summit. Saw not a thing. On way down find track end at 341908. Go down it for 200m to a big clearing. There is then a ride which heads vaguely SE which will take you close to the road. This ride resembles a canal in places and every 100m is blocked by wind felled trees but this is the least bad option. Should have been on Ailsa Craig today, but weather prevented it.Thearlaichdubh15/03/2014
From Brandy Well at the Nick of Balloch. Good views across to the Awful Hand.neimcv16/05/2013
