A quick skip over the barbed fence, using the beech tree canopy to hide from the CCTV, and around the summit fence. The PM is still on holiday (when is he not) so no security breach.summitter15/08/2022
Parked by the church, up the track then over a gate into a field going up the nice looking hill. The hp is just over the fence with dire warning signs on it by a fence off area which appears to contain an entrance to an underground something.clivevilla21/07/2022

From Pulpit Hill. Steeply down due north on path not shown on map. Along Outer Aylesbury Ring and up steeply on access land from the west to summit area. Summit is over fence on prohibited land, so settled for getting as close as possible on access land. KeithByTheC12/09/2021

Done as part of a longer walk starting and finishing in Wendover.Gareth188612/06/2021
With J on a sunny Sunday circular walk from Princes Risborough. Used various paths to approach from S then used footpath through wood (ignoring the closed field gate with warning signs). Once into the access land, straight up to the top. The stile others refer to seems to have been removed. Decided not to leg it over the fence for the true summit & retreated along ridge for a lunch stop & the terrific view. Just as well because 2 heavily armed policemen suddenly appeared over the fence at the summit! They took no interest in us, looking down into the fenced off copse. Likely after the anarchists cunningly disguised as the local Ramblers marching along the footpath! Given that Chequers is in full view from the access land side of the fence at the top, it seems churlish not to allow access to the actual summit. However, may be wise to exercise caution with the true summit for sake of 2 feet?NotReallyABagger18/04/2021

BoJo's impending lockdown easing announcement hopefully distracted him long enough for us to sneak through the open gate at the bottom of the field and quickly nip up and down. 25km trail running loop with GFE.Fionalevey10/05/2020
6-Tump circuit from Great Kimble: Bradenham Hill, Slough Hill, Lodge Hill, Whiteleaf Hill, Pulpit Hill, Beacon Hill.PGCE07/04/2020
Paths from Coombe Hill up neat grass field to summit ridge and prominent CCTV camera. High point next to small hollow with steps to door on the S side of the fence with the threatening signs. A nice hill.RichardM06/03/2020
Steep grassy ascent to summit with panoramic views and soaring Kites. CCTV and unfriendly signs but presumably Boris is too busy dealing with Corona virus to be at Chequers today. Actual HP is by a small enclosure over fence.Denise 06/03/2020
As per Gordon A. Over stile with pointless notice to top.Bramley28/01/2020

As part of National Trust walk around Chequers, up and down several elevations. This is a nice little peak - very steep but a short burst of just a few minutes. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/chilterns-countryside/trails/coombe-hill-and-chequers-trailWendyWozEre14/07/2019

Walk from Princes Risborough to Wendover Woods. Stopped for a break at the summit near to the security camera. Kites circling about 10m overhead. Lovely.jedthehumanoid01/03/2019
Walked straight up the pasture from Ellesborough church then over the little stile to the summit. A bagging round along the Chiltern scarp with Carol and the dogs. Beacon Hill (Ellesborough); Pulpit Hill; Whiteleaf Hill; Beacon Hill (Aston Rowant). Mild, dry, patchy sun.Skip25/01/2019
Just over wire fence (via stile with sign) after following clear path up. Fine views.maclrc05/01/2019

8.6 mile circular around the forests of the Chilterns, parked Ellesborough, followed footpath to Coombe Hill (3rd time bagged), then a very round-about way to Pulpit Hill and Beacon Hill all on very good paths mainly long distance trails, interesting bagging this summit went through open gate onto proper top and found a camera watching us on the summit while being on the wrong side of the no unauthorised access sign we descended rapidly. After headed home via Waddesdon Hill and Quainton Hill. Lovely clear summery weather.DanTrig09/10/2018
3rd hill of 6 on Stage 7 of the Ridgeway walk with Lesley, having detoured to climb Whiteleaf Hill and Pulpit Hill, this out and back was only a bit further. Path from Ridgeway into woods and out then over to gate into field and a steep climb up. Fantastic views from and to this hill, in particular from Coombe Hill...This was my 11th Beacon Hill out of 46 in the country.Dazingdale27/09/2018
