Cycle ride from Nottingham, Road is private i think, approached from south and bumped into a friendly chap walking his dog who exclaimed, it is private, but no one minds! Not the best hill, but is another one ticked off!Nicky C11/05/2020
Cycled from Loughborough on warm sunny day. Gradual incline to reach north ridge of the wold. Turned left and cycled 200m up lane, seemed open to the public, lined with trees, bluebells and daffodils. Summit is obvious 10m north of crossroadsBarry Smith09/04/2020
Just about space to squeeze the car in at the start of the road to the S of the 'summit'. Wandered up from here and HP seemed to be just past junction on middle track leading to a house. Saw a family walking a dog in the field to the left who didn't comment as a wandered past them twice so perhaps the road isn't private.Wheelsy24/04/2019
Speed limit signs suggest not private. Top just over junction.Bramley13/04/2019
Up drive from south as others, HP just beyond junction.PeterD16/08/2018

Certainly felt very private as I walked cautiously along the drive to the junction, but I saw no-oneColin Crawford03/01/2017
As others. Go in April to see the daffs.Minto30/04/2016
Final Leicestershire tump!! Last of three hills today, having explored Woolsthorpe manor with my mum and her friend Joyce, i drove first to Buckminster hill and then onto Waltham-on-the-wolds taking some courage to find high point in field full of hens. We then drove via Scalford and Ironstone lane to park up just past road leading to properties near the summit. I agree highest point does appear to be central track a few metres from junction. The provate road looked glorious as daffodils lined each side next to the trees. I cut across the field to the west and used gap in hedge to return to the car.Dazingdale03/04/2016
Up short lane from S towards large buildings, to a three way junction. Took reading about 10m along central one on tarmac.Aye Jimmy23/03/2016
Got out of van. Got back in again. Feels like a private drive, but no signs to say so.ngthack14/02/2016
