Parked on Cooks Mill lane and walked to the barn. Got passed by 'a farmer' in a small truck as I got close. | Buck | 15/05/2023 |
With NS and Al. Parked at Swanbourne. Cross Bucks Way (very muddy in places), Stewkley Lane, Mursley Mound, Salden, Springfield Farm, Midshires and Swan's Way (some restrictions during work on the railway). Pleasant walk, not much of a hill. | Owen B | 17/10/2020 |
From road corner on Cooks Mill La, 10 mins to walk up to farm, bag my last hill in Bucks, and return without disturbing farmer getting sheep into shed. | pwheeler | 27/08/2020 |
Visited with my grandad and brother Jon. We parked before the end on the lane and walked round the back of a big barn which used old garage doors for one side of it. | williamglew | 11/07/2020 |
From bend in road. Round left side of barns. | PGCE | 25/06/2020 |
1st of 3 tumps today on my Bucks completion day. Train from L Eaton to Tamworth, then to Milton Keynes Central then train to Bletchley, taking 50 bus to Mursley.
Used fp next to bus stop North of church then veered off at gate to head directly for scrubby area. Nice view of Water tower. Return via track, first using large field then cutting across two hedges. Sat reading 'Creed' by James Herbert before taking 50 bus to Winslow then 67 bus for Oving... | Dazingdale | 18/01/2020 |
From end of lane. Nocturnal but not dark, owing to light pollution from wretched Milton Keynes. Summit probably in brambles near trees in tyres. Mursley looked nice. Buckinghamshire compleated. | Wycombe Wanderer | 21/12/2019 |
Solo, go round the left of the barns is quickest route | simon and co | 11/09/2019 |
Last Tump before heading back to Preston after 5 nights away. | Dugswell2 | 26/02/2019 |

My last hill on OS 165 | arranc | 30/06/2018 |
From the bend in the minor road. HP is in scrubby area behind barns. A little tricky if the farmer is around. | clivevilla | 31/05/2018 |
Parking room on the road bend and then an easy walk to the rear of the barn on a day of thawing snow. | JohnW | 04/03/2018 |
Christmas trees still there with their price tags in place. One was £79 so a huge amount of lost income. | Herbert Anchovy | 05/02/2018 |
Buckinghamshire completed. 19th of the day. Round the back of the barn into overgrown field. Interesting use of old garage doors on side of barn. | Campbell Singer | 09/12/2017 |
Parked at bend 180m to SE of barns, walked up lane then went around back of barns, all quiet. Old Xmas trees still lying in the scrub. | Aye Jimmy | 09/10/2017 |
High speed bag due to farmer working in nearby field. A nondescript hill although there's a bit of a view from just outside the front of the farm. | wheresthepath | 23/07/2017 |
Found the mound behind the barn, which is now a graveyard for unsold Xmas trees | DC11main | 18/03/2017 |
Old garage doors form a mosaic wall to the left side of the large barn. The Mill Mound marked on large scale mapping to N of summit is likely referring to the site of a medieval windmill which apparently abounded in England from 12th C usually for grinding corn into flour. | Chris Pearson | 02/10/2016 |
With Wendy. | ijpowell | 02/09/2016 |
Short walk to back of barn. | PeterD | 21/03/2016 |
