Walked to spot height on the main road - opposite Broadlawns seemed the highest point. Skirted the perimeter of the field containing the marker round to the hotel but there seemed to be no public access.Vulcan24/01/2023

3 of 3 on 19 mile bike ride starting from Watford central travelodge. As others have said it’s difficult to determine where the top is so I just went will the elbow in the laneThe-Z-Man18/10/2019
Opposite side of road to 'Broadlawns' by tall mesh gate seemed as high as anywhere.Aye Jimmy08/09/2019
The last of the four for today. Went to the elbow in lane and the spot height. It is certainly beyond my current skill set to place the high spot. To my mind the road continued to climb but hey!Sixtyplus29/08/2019
Parked in George's Mead and went for a wander.Bramley29/08/2019
Cycle ride from Watford. Indistinct and uninspiring summit crossed by the busy A411. Thought the road by entrance to Broadlawns drive probably the high point.RichardM29/06/2019
Parked in Edgwarebury lane and walked around the area in the rain. Up to the Laura Ashly gatesChinnockC19/01/2019

Parked in Georges Mead and walked up and road and lane.rhalstead23/04/2017
Parked beside the footpath sign on the A411 then had a walk about. This included the gateway beside A411, down the footpath and the elbow in Edgwarebury Lane.Dugswell206/03/2017
Went to spot height and to the hotel and ground in between.PeterD27/11/2016
Parked on wattling street at bottom of hill to the north near b5378. Walked up through village on to A.411 to 147m spot height, then to bend in Edwarebury lane, and some grass by trees near Laura Ashley Hotel. Couldn't find any access to fields? Very high flimsy fences near hotel with security camera warnings! Pretty sure the spot height is highest! But no evidence as my gps wouldn't track the satellites today.pdantic11/07/2016
Parked on Edgwarebury Lane walked back to probably HP on main road (A411) at OS 1:25k 147m spot height.jonglew04/12/2015
A bit puzzling as to where the top really is. AS per RHW's log went to the elbow (bend) on driveway to the Laura Ashley hotel and also the 147m spot height on pavement on main road, but fences and houses blocking any chances of wandering around behind them as others have seemingly done on this page. Felt it especially not a good idea in the dark to be climbing fences/ bludering around behind people's houses and for no apparent purpose as 147m road spot height is highest point on 1:10000mapChris Pearson24/04/2015
1) N side of A411, hedgeline by locked gate (147m spot height on 1:25k), 2) highpoint of Edgewarebury Lane just S of A411 junction as per Smudge's log may be as high.RHW14/12/2014
Bike ride from home in Oakwood: Bournwell Hill - Mote End Farm - Deacons Hill. Then got a puncture in Elstree and had to walk back. What a waste!Mark Jackson01/11/2014
New housing developments in the area, field not very accessible from road now, high fence too. Took the lane with FP and parked in Ashley Hotel car park and jogged through houses to East of top into field, passed through this to Lama field / tree in Des' photo. The field with marked top on HB has a high fence and looks v private, top could be anywhere in vicinity.nordicstar22/10/2014
Access to the pasture field behind has padlocked gates.destaylor07/02/2014
Edgware to Stanmore. Elbow in Edgwarebury Lane seemed an alternative possibility.Smudge08/12/2013
Approx date. With J from Bury Farm to SE where her sister works with horses. As far as the A411 but the 'summit' could be almost anywhere.NotReallyABagger30/06/2012
