Roadside parking in Cheddington Village to N by School. Followed RoW along muddy field boundaries, then field boundary and tractor tracks within sprouting grass to obvious trig at domed HP. Pink skies and extensive views. En route home from Luton Airport. | Denise | 24/02/2023 |
Field path SW from Cheddington until able to follow field boundaries into summit field, then along tractor tramlines through young shoots of crop to summit. Trig at high point. Nice views, setting sun. | RichardM | 24/02/2023 |

A bag from Cheddington PO, clear footpath then tractor lines through crop- and some pricky weeds nearest path. Private sign noted on this approach, the HP not a place to linger, though the views were good | pwheeler | 03/08/2020 |
Ivinghoe Beacon car park - Aldbury Nowers - Southend Hill - Ivinghoe Beacon - car. | Mark Jackson | 29/05/2020 |
Around field boundaries until final part. Bone dry, so clean boots at the end. | PGCE | 25/03/2020 |
Parked at car park by canal bridge. Along to ROW then field edges and tractor tracks to trig. Half the field on my boots at the end. | Bramley | 28/01/2020 |
1st of 4 Tumps today. Parking on 'Hillside' opp. the fp, I followed the footpath Sw then cut across the mudddy ploughed field using some tractor tracks to ease the way then followed hedge boundary up NE to gaps in hedge then direct to the Trig pillar. Beautiful sunshine and mild weather. More direct descent back to the fp then a brief stop to get the worst of the mud off before re-tracing route back to the car. Continuation: the long drive to Burnham Green in Herts... | Dazingdale | 12/01/2020 |

Parked at entrance to ROW to the E. Kept to field edges until 30 yds from the trig point even though crops had recently been cleared. Had now completed OXF and BUK. Time to look round interesting NT Ascott House and have a cup of tea before driving back home to Handforth: arriving 19:30 | GordonAdshead | 07/09/2019 |

Used jonglew's approach. Fields no longer rock hard, now turned and raked smooth. | Aye Jimmy | 25/08/2018 |
Through tough stalks of recently harvested crop. Ground rock hard. | Wycombe Wanderer | 17/07/2018 |
Very hot day. Walked behind housing estate on signed FP. At junction of field looking up to the HP, decided not to thrash through rape seed and thistles for half a mile. | arranc | 29/06/2018 |

As jonglew. Very sticky. Currently a turnip field. | Campbell Singer | 09/12/2017 |
Collected on way home from a stay with friends in Tring. Nice valley viewpoint, very dry weather in lead up so no problems with mud! | nordicstar | 11/07/2017 |

Same route as others except no crops and very little remaining stubble so easy to walk directly over fields in straight line to summit. | ijpowell | 01/09/2016 |
Tractor tramlines led from ROW to N through crops and convenient gap in hedge corner. The Grand Union Canal is deflected around this hill in its 147 mile linking of London & Birmingham (with many offshoots) | Chris Pearson | 08/06/2016 |

From housing estate, FP initially then followed tractor tracks to Trig. | PeterD | 31/03/2016 |

Room for 1 or 2 cars roadside at SP 92544 16649. RoW initially to first field boundary, then direct to top. Muddy arable field with trig at summit. | jonglew | 13/01/2016 |
Horrendous approach to trig. Through field of dead beans. Probably best done in winter when no crops in fields. | ngthack | 21/08/2014 |
Footpath from Cheddington. Summit - trig as high as anything else. One for a winter visit. | destaylor | 19/02/2014 |
Tring - Cheddington: Directly approached from ROW to NW across pre-drilling mud field. | Smudge | 16/02/2014 |

From the path at the west side of this hill you can follow the trees to the south and then make a headlong ascent to the summit trig point. | ChinnockC | blank |
