Good parking on the apron just west of Casthorpe Lodge. Easy to follow path all the way up the hill until the field north of the summit. Find a weakness in the hedge and then a crossfield walk to the top.moorsman02/07/2023

Woolsthorpe by Belvoir to Grantham. Diversion from bottom of steps as per others. ROW SE from Westry Corner does run to pt 66m (A1/A607 junction), but more directly than mapped.Smudge19/11/2021

3rd and final tump of the day, after Normanston and Summmerfield. Parked up in village next to fp leading up then cut across to reach top although i got a higher reading beside hedge to the East. I Followed West side of hedge to appreciate the vast views before taking stile and fp back to the start.Dazingdale13/06/2020

Walk from Grantham station to Bottesford. Approached summit from E on RoW. L through hedge at steps. Followed boundary to mound in SW corner of field. Highest point seems to be on S side of hedge. Returned to corner but slipped through gap to pass W of hedge to base of the steps, then down to the canal and onwards.Moorponder21/08/2018

Parked near Casthorpe Lodge and followed track south. Continued south east towards steps but instead of going up them followed the hedge line south to the corner of the field where there was an open gate. A left turn and a short walk led to the top.Wheelsy26/07/2016

From the canal bridge to the west of hill. Followed footpaths through fields and then cut diagonally upwards south east towards woods. Had the impression that HP was about 200 m to the north west of stated summit but difficult to tell as sun was still not up.Campbell Singer29/12/2015

From the ENE starting just S of Barrowby. Track and public f/p lead W then SW across fields gently uphill to crest of hill. Steepens, use steps down or nip through hedge and SE to parallel hedgeline. Was wandering about here looking for high points when a nice lady from North Lodge exercising her horses told me I was on private land.
