Parked in Heath lane and a steady half hour to the top and back very muddyThe-Z-Man22/12/2020

From Western Begbroke to end of lane, up drive and across into woodland. A pleasant walk.clivevilla29/05/2020
From Begbroke, on the way out, from the north - followed bridleway into the woods (extremely wet and muddy), until the cleared strip upto the reservoir, then follow the forestry tracks. On the way back followed the forestry track to the south, and at the point where it turns to the north, follow the obvious path to a gate into the field. Then due east across the field to pick up the track/footpath. Completely mud free on the way back.johnkenyon08/03/2020
Botley to Begbroke. No barriers or deterrent notices between summit areas & the ROW encountered in the autumnal dusk.Smudge28/10/2019
Drove down with Judy from Manchester to complete OXF and BUK. Parked at entrance to Hall Farm, Reasonable paths NW up bridleway and SW to Round Castle. Droppec S through open wodland. Needed GPS to decide when we would call it a top.GordonAdshead07/09/2019
A 17km route from Langford lane West to Oxford station. from Oxford Parkway via train from Islip I took the Woodstock bus and alighted at Langford Lane West then used the field edges to access the Shakespeare's Way then on a very easy to miss track taking me onto the ramparts of the Old Castle hillfort, sadly looking pretty shallow but cut across to the vague summit. I recorded 107m @ SP 45633 13571 but wandered around from the theoretical summit. Still...nice ambience in the woodland.I continued Sw to leave woodland and follow hedge to lane continuing South into Cassington and the Swinford Bridge toll bridge heading for Wytham Hill...Dazingdale07/07/2019
RoW from Hall Farm then up through wood, first to castle area then S to open woodland with rows of trees. HP vague.Aye Jimmy23/03/2019
We visited both the N and S summits with no line of sight between them, on generally level ground and no definitive features. The N summit is within an incomplete fence with mixed young trees (pine/ oak/ ash c7 m high) and the south summit is mainly Beech, more open and possibly higher. The colours are gorgeous at this time of year. No sign of pheasants. A sign says part of Blenheim Palace estate, beware of falling trees in high winds. Accessed from RoW to NE.Denise 09/11/2018
Woods accessed from bridleway in NE corner. Path and track to summit area with N & S summits both large levellish areas with not a lot of drop between them. Abney used to locally determine high point of each summit but unable to differentiate between them. The S summit wins on aesthetics with open Beech trees in colourful autumnal shades.RichardM09/11/2018
From BW to NW. Once thru'gate into wood (SP461141), immediately left into wood and follow path parallel to wood edge, ignoring fork to right (soon peters out). Ahead and path soon veers right into wood.carole engel29/07/2018
Path into woods and then headed through the trees. All quite flat at the top. Visited the highest ground outside the pheasant pen and then went on to the summit grid reference.Herbert Anchovy05/02/2018
7 degrees C, overcast. Parked near Burleigh Lodge, footpath then edge of wood and obvious track.Wycombe Wanderer26/12/2017
Parked at end of lane just past Hall Farm adjacent to a gathering of wheely bins. Several deer in wood. Encountered no Private signs. Oxfordshire completed. Nice county.Campbell Singer03/10/2017
My bete noir. 1st embarrassing visit in the dark in March when I thrashed around in the wrong wood for an age before emerging confused a mile from the car. 2nd visit also in the dark -@ midnight but slept in the car at Bedbroke until 5am . Hammering down with rain but had to be in H Hempstead by 9am for 1st aid course so wellies and waterproofed up and found the correct wood - not that difficult really if you don't just follow the first footpath sign you see. still took me 40 mins round trip of faffing for a high point which put chance of doing last 4 Oxfordshire tops this morning out of time .Oh well.Chris Pearson14/05/2017
as for jonglew. Pheasant enclosures, private and keep out signs - ugh!arranc16/08/2016
