Standard windfarm route. Parked further along from the big gates Yellow Craig ( many signs) ina turn in for Tilhill forestry. Met older gent (80) and younger gent (65?) both on ATV and both v pleasant. Breeze. One sharp rain shower. Meadow pipit. Distant kite. North country Cheviot (?) and cows being taken to the bullVerySlowPlodder13/07/2023
Parked at forest road entrance SE of Auchenstroan Craig. Long but easy walk on wind farm roads all the way to the summit. Solo.Dangerous Dave11/06/2023
Parked at layby at 715951. Easily over the stream and round the SE corner of the now felled plantation, then aimed for the right hand side of the wall up the NE shoulder of the east top. Followed the wind farm track for the last 500m. Retraced steps.Owen B08/04/2023
From Dalwhat glen. Parked near Corriedow Bridge and walked up to ridge through fields and tussocks. Found ATV track to follow into wind farm. Stiff breeze, sunny. Visited trig on way back down. Rounsfell06/12/2022
Plethora of Private & No Parking signs at start of wind farm road (NX684912), so parked at NX689910 in forest gateway and walked back W along B729. Ignored the Private signs and proceeded, without incident, up the wind farm road to Wether Hill then on to Martour Hill and back.Isbjorn26/05/2021
Parked at gate for the Wether Hill wind farm (NX 6904 9221), it was unlocked, could have driven a lot of today's walk. Followed wall N ~250m to pick up the terminus of a new unmapped wind farm road, followed this round to Carroch Hill, on to Greengair, continued N to Martour Hill before backtracking partially for this hill. On to the Corrodow trig pillar before returning to car. A pleasant 10 mile round.jonglew16/04/2021
Wether Hill and Greengair via the huge but helpful (at least in wet conditions) wind farm roads.summitter04/07/2020
Drove up the track from grid ref 683912 on B729 to where there is a gate and signage for the wind farm. From here, I cycled all the way to just south of the top leaving a 5 minute walk only. Very fast descent on the very good track.Simon Winton08/03/2020
All set to head up from wide gateway near entrance to Craiglearan Farm when owner of cottage, farmer's father, advised continuing up B729 to gate at 684912, ignore 'Private' sign & drive up to gate at end of graded road at 690922 so I did (easy parking) - Up wind farm track past control centre to wall at 692941 & then up alongside wall to summit cairn. Continued to Martour Hill. (S)gerrybowes14/11/2019
From Corriedow/Glenjaan road end.duchally02/07/2019
Solo trip from the Dalwhat Water side, definitely the pretty way compared with the wind farm track.Invicta1423/05/2019
From Martour Hill followed the wind farm tracks close to the summit. Descended directly to the car at 714950. 3 hours solo including Martourbolton06/05/2019
A lovely walk (until the summit) from the Glenjaan road end, where there is a good parking spot just down the track. Over Corriedow bridge, then through the field gate to a mast. Up to a gate, where an ATV track starts up the side of the unnamed stream. Up this to a shelf, then contoured NW below Corriedow Hill over the 2 streams, hopped the wall easily (it's quite low) and contoured to the gap between the 460m and 470m tops. On the ATV track, then cut across to follow the wall up to a gate, then on to the bloody awful wind farm with its track encircling the summit. The cairn is tiny and the views would be fabulous except for the turbines everywhere you look. So glad I took the scenic route and not the wind farm track, lovely in the snow with all wet bits frozen.Gill02/02/2019
From Yellow Craig (Private in case you miss the signs) up the wind farm access track to the summit of Wether Hill. Track out to firebreak on Martour Hill with decent trod to just beyond summit and push into fairly light tree cover. Returned same way.SS29/12/2018
From the SW gate that says Yellow crag Is also the wind farm entrance track. This can be a drive up near to the top. Useful as the weather had turned a bit grimmer and the daylight left was diminishing.vegibagger22/11/2018
From the B729, through forestry then joins the turbine service roads. Left the service road at turbine 14, crossed the fence. Summit cairn one stone high. Rain and mist.borderterrier13/10/2018
3 of 7 today. Almost a drive-up: the wind farm can be accessed from a track at approx 684912 on the B729. Several gates, but no locks in evidence. Good track accessible in a Vauxhall Corsa.PGCE25/09/2018
On graded road from B729 at NX684912. Operated ham radio for SOTA on summit wind farm. No interference from the turbines.G4OBK (Phil)20/08/2018
From Corriedow road end. At summit cloud cleared for views. Back down via the trig on Corriedow Hill.NormanW18/04/2018

Late afternoon walk from start of track near Corridow. Up through field and onto ridgeline. Easy going to the wind farm around the summit.N.Morters28/10/2016
The windfarm access road was a grim plod on a very wet and windy afternoon.Chris Peart24/07/2016
Lodge/windfarm road access. Dry, cold calm and good views.iangalbraith31/03/2016
From the SSW at first light, up the windfarm tracks and back down before the heavy rain set in. Unusually mild for the time of year.Topographer5718/12/2015
Certainly had some weather today! Hugely snowy. Made more exciting by the local pheasant/ duck shoot who we encountered twice.jenx12/12/2015
With Jenx walking up the lodge road. Had to contend with a bird shoot/murder session, heavy snow and a GOML like experience, as apparently 'Diane' doesn't like anyone near her house. Still we baggef the hill and trig in foul weather. Story of the winter so far it seems in 2015.nordicstar12/12/2015

With Andy T. From B729 via Craiglearach House and windfarm tracks to near summit. 1ft of powder snow.Man of Kernow117/12/2011
With Mark T. The car was parked at NX7184691678, in the entrance to the track 100m from the track to Craiglearach. Good hill spoilt by wind farm.Sprog17/12/2011
A superb viewpoint ruined by a windfarm. Ascent via Corriedow, which has a trig that's not actually at the summit of anything.Aye Jimmy24/07/2011

Over swollen stream over swampy pastures and steadily up to artificial horizons one by one. Gate in long stone wall. Long mile by disintegrating stone wall and 600m to top. 14.20.arranc28/10/2002
