3 days later visited the alterative water tower summit where we parked for a nice 4 mile circular walk down and around the coast through tourist honeypot of St Mawes. Lots of yachting and water activities going on to watch. Included a touristy look around art gallery and market. Good reverse view up Carrick Roads to distant Feock where we are staying and spend a lot of time looking at here from there. Last of our 4 days exploring the Roseland Peninsula - leaving our car on this side of the Fal overnight and using the King Harry Ferry as cheapskate foot passengers to commute the 2 miles each way on foot to and from the car. | Chris Pearson | 09/08/2023 |
Parked at lay-by near new wall that looked like it may have replaced gate. Ground other side had a couple of man made mounds. Also visited road HP and drove to water tower to south. | PeterD | 06/08/2023 |
A bonus summit on our return drive to King Harry Ferry after our 8 mike walk from Portscatho. Still in happy shock as, whilst parked in a layby post walk, L had bought online, after weeks of deliberation, her forever bicycle - a carbon frame Cannondale Synapse - her frame size, a 'bargain' as down 45% on RRP. Appropriately it is Rose Gold as we are on the Roseland Peninsula and she JUST got the last one - again appropriately we were now in St Just. I nipped over the new wall to the summit whilst L stayed in the car dreaming of future cycle tours. To save our pennies after such an outlay we left our car on this side of the ferry and walked the 2 miles home to Feock- crossing as foot passengers -and walked back the next day to drive to Pendower for our walk. | Chris Pearson | 06/08/2023 |
Good lay-by parking on A3078 | Adrian | 11/07/2022 |
Five remaining T0s on the Roseland Peninsula in pouring rain. Pretty miserable and nothing much to say about any of them. | clivevilla | 28/06/2022 |
Parked at end of layby to the East. Climbed over hedge and into field to visit high point. Fairly straightforward. Lesley waited in our hire car. We then went on to indulge in Cream Teas at the nearby cafe beside the church parking and then explore the 6c Church with its stunning gardens. | Dazingdale | 18/07/2021 |
On circular walk from St Mawes to St Just in Roseland. The high point on the road was good enough for me, but also visited the water tower on route | rfoster | 16/05/2021 |
Passed on cycle, hill has been removed from the tump list however | FelixClayhill | 13/12/2020 |
Visited north east corner of field as well as high point of road and , using abney level , thought field corner marginally higher. Also visited water tower a few hundred metres south along road ( footpath) and GPS said 1 m higher but line of sight comparison not possible. Accessed from swinging mooring at St Mawes. | Denise | 11/07/2016 |
NE corner of field easiest to access by fence on N side of where Trevenel farm track joins the road. Water tower ~1km S on ground of similar height. | RichardM | 11/07/2016 |
As DG. NE corner of field 200m to NE probably similar height but fiddly to get at. | RHW | 08/07/2016 |
Parked on strange layby c80m northeast at SW 84922 35277. Summit highpoint is on east side of road. Be very careful of the fast traffic on this fairly verge-less main road. | David Gradwell | 08/04/2016 |
