Visited SE side of W island by dinghy but too much swell and barnacles to consider a landing in our rubber dinghy. Aborted from a trip to the N end as much less sheltered in the NW wind and we lost our nerve. Passed 300m N of islands the next day in yacht and looked much calmer (at high water) Ascent of E island looks only really practical from landing on N tip and even then a couple of short climbs involved. | RichardM | 17/07/2016 |
First recorded ascent on hill bagging. Dodgy landing to theSW by the skilled pilot of self, MAE and Alex Cameron. Steep scrambling to summit. Super location. | nordicstar | 05/07/2016 |
Not ticked. These look impressive from St Helens, over more so from boat 4/07, but landing not allowed even in winter when seems unlikely to be much if any wildlife present. Too much swell today anyway. Boatman says bigger island landable S end if flat calm. | RHW | 02/07/2016 |
