From Higher Newford, descended NW on well-worn path to the impressive Bant's Carn Burial Chamber & then coastal path back to town - Made way up to the parish church, turned left & then first right past the hospital - S. along farm track to gate & ladder stile in NE corner of pig field & then across field to the hedge high point in SW corner. After eastern isles trip. Also visited mound of earth and stones by track after the pig field. `the mound a good 2ft higher than summit in field and is half covered with vegetation. With PM.CJM06/07/2022
The mound in the road dumped by the farmer will soon attain height status. Stood atop of this as well as the alleged top on the border of the pig field. With CM.bolton06/07/2022
