We parked near Hightown Farm and enjoyed a short November walk up to the summit. Cloud was low but this was out and we got some quite nice views although I imagine we'd have seen more on a better day. However, a nice summit for the time of year and weather! Ascended from Hightown Farm. Revisit combined with bagging the new Marilyn, White Hill. | chriswatson | 12/07/2023 |
Second time, to visit relocated top. As there was nobody around to ask for permission to park at Hightown Farm, I parked at the start of a wide track at NY 02794 82510. I headed back north by the lane to the farm, and then took the track SE leaving it to reach the top of White Hill. I then descended to the track for an ascent to the trig on Hightown Hill. Descent was by outward route. Solo. 4.9km, with 160m of ascent. | Man of Kernow1 | 29/05/2023 |
Spoke to friendly farmer about route and avoiding cows/bull. | PeteF | 29/05/2023 |

Revisit to bag White Hill. Harder ascent than the first time 6 years ago. | iangpark | 24/11/2022 |
With Lesley. Nice short walk. | Nick Canute | 24/09/2022 |
Found it q a challenge to get my wide car tucked off road without bunging up agricultural users. Glad i was swift up and down. Texel mix sheep, with solid lambs in second field. First field had a padlock with key combo , which then required a climb over gate. Young calves in this field but further up, so we didnt spook them. | VerySlowPlodder | 05/07/2022 |
From Hightown farm to W. Friendly farmer allowed to park in front of the gates to the house; the driveway is not used. | Galltywenallt | 22/04/2022 |
Didn't ever think I would revisit this hill. From Pinnacle Hill towards the Marilyn. Much better views than 19 years earlier. | lordtonult | 04/03/2022 |
Parked on verge by gate about 200m N of Hightown Farm, then usual route to White Hill, followed by a revisit to Hightown Hill, which I'd bagged in 2013. | vuirich | 12/01/2022 |
Parking north of Pinnacle Hill near Water of Ae for 1/2 cars where a track leads towards Pinnacle Hill, track curves around to the right and a fainter path heads up bearing left to the top. From here headed to White Hill via the Bankhead Reservoirs to avoid the cows. Straightforward down and up then from White Hill to Hightown Hill trig. Then beared right to fence corner following field edge back to track we used in | Wayne Mac | 26/11/2021 |

Re - visit for photos FB clay impression and visit to the new Marilyn summit to the SE.. A whopping 20cm higher. The date referenced by the numbers on the flush bracket 7705 make it a place of poignancy, not just the victims of the London bombings that Thursday morning 7/7/05 but also a car of young idiots overtaking a number of cars with me at its head while approaching a blind bend on the A19 north of Doncaster, and only avoiding a head on multiple pile up by a fraction of a second as another vehicle came round the bend, firing them to swerve in, in front of me. Another of this lion's nine lives lost. | vegibagger | 25/10/2021 |
pinnacle hill, white hill, hightown hill repeat from parking near gate at 0304 8381. | robertphillips | 23/10/2021 |
2 of 4: From White Hill. Went round to the NE to avoid the cows and calves. With Karen. | ChrisR | 30/08/2021 |
Had to wait for the heard of cows with their Calves including a Bull, to clear from the summit of the Tump before bagging this one. | conanharrod | 19/08/2021 |

From top of road to S Cowshaw (030 841)through gate opposite and direct to Hightown Hill. High point 5 m to E of TP. Across to White Hill, trying to follow forest edge (on map) to Pinnacle Hill, but expedient to cross E to fields to E (above Bankhead of Tinwald) and through arm of wood ahead. | henryfm | 08/08/2021 |

Parked 250m south of Hightown farm, where the grassy verge is wide enough on east side of road. Cut across field to avoid going near farm, due to Covid! First, went up White Hill from West, then retraced our steps to the last gate, before going up Hightown Hill from the South. Great views over all of Annan Dale. Headed to Black Hill, before descending eastwards to look at the reservoirs. We were going to stroll down to T Wood, but were blocked by new born lambs at Tipperwhippy Wood (name!). Headed back north to Pinnacle Hill instead. Well worth going to this one - it’s at the end of the range, with a steep drop off beyond. Easy route over fields to the (very quiet) road, then back to car. Cloudy day, but surprisingly warm. | Toby-and-Dion | 18/04/2021 |
Parked just north of Hightown Farm in layby. walked up the hill to the farm and then on track to Hightown Hill and then on to White Hill returning similar way. | jigglybones | 20/03/2021 |
Parked by houses south of Shieldhill - park on tar in front of The Schoolhouse. Pinnacle Hill (via gates just south of houses), Hightown Hill (repeat) and White Hill (Marilyn recompletion). | PGCE | 12/12/2020 |
From Torthorwald on tarmac to the normal gate then up White Hill through gates (and mud). Doubled back up for a repeat of Hightown Hill before the wander back. | SS | 05/12/2020 |
Third visit to this hill as we are visiting the new highpoint. Up from near Hightown Farm and then over Black Hill before bagging White Hill. | 3 kinnears | 10/11/2020 |

With MN. Asked to park at farm. Permission readily given although the view was expressed that we were mad, especially as it was raining hard. Easy hill. | trimarc2 | 22/08/2018 |
