There's even a handy flight of steps on the other side of the reservoir to add to the easiness of the walk. | Martin R | 22/10/2023 |
possibly the dullest summit, pancake flat, trig point though | Trantham Clan | 29/04/2023 |
Parked at 88830 38229 and up the track towards the organic farm. Trig and hp are within the reservoir compound so I climbed that too. | clivevilla | 20/01/2023 |
From East along PROW. High point probably near trig pillar. | cjo | 20/04/2022 |
From west, there’s a small parking area with room for 4 cars at a bend in the road that goes south form Monkton Deverill. Much nicer route than from the lay-by on the A350. Probably didn’t chose the best day as it was blowing gale and then horizontal snow as I got near the top. | Swindon Bagger | 27/11/2021 |
Parked in wide farm track opposites start of fp. Good brisk walk to the.top. Fine views from top of reservoir. | Campbell Singer | 13/10/2021 |
As others, along track (RoW) from the A350 to ENE. Trig, summit area and reservoir which is easy (climbed over locked gate) and worth it for the extra views. | pwheeler | 22/09/2021 |
Cheeky parking (1 car) by church in Brixton Deverill. | jimbloomer | 24/07/2021 |

As others, along track from the A350. | fosal29 | 14/02/2020 |
Natural HP apparently near Trig at corner of grass covered reservoir within enclosure with gate. Parked on east side of A350 road in by way and approached on track from E. Straightforward on grey day. | Denise | 11/01/2020 |
On the bridleway from the ENE in gusting SW wind. Levelish summit area with covered reservoir and trig pillar within low BWF. Difficult to decide on a high point. Extensive if uninspiring views. | RichardM | 11/01/2020 |
From the A350 to the east. FP to barn, trig with reservoir next to it. | PeterD | 09/06/2019 |
From ENE on path. Lots of wall brown butterflies. Ground to west of trig probably the highest natural ground but visited trig and covered reservoir as well to make certain of it. | Herbert Anchovy | 03/08/2018 |
From E. | dal | 07/04/2018 |
Visited trig, covered reservoir and ground to the west. | Adrian | 19/11/2016 |
Mid evening now and slightly weary for my 34th mile for this last of an 18 Tumps day. Just filing in a few gaps before returning home to complete a 20 hr full day out - the heart of which was an 8 hr 26 mile circuit over 10 Tumps around Warminster. Felt like Id had my moneys worth, and on a beautiful warm day. | Chris Pearson | 30/07/2016 |
Approached from the E. There is a large reservoir now which overtops the trig by about 5 metres so take your pick - I bagged both. | Chris Peart | 22/01/2015 |
