Parked in Hurn car park. Lesley waited in the car. Beware of the boulders either side of the entrance, not suitable for larger cars/vans. Easy walk up via tracks visiting the given grid ref although highest point seems to be at barrier with the Nature reserve sign- no entry. Great views from flat plateaux area. Nice to walk around the top making sure before heading down on a slightly different route. Some tracks are quite flooded. Thus completes BCP county, my 66th U/a.Dazingdale31/03/2024

Pleasant walk on woodland paths to POI before noticing that viewpoint area was 10 m higher. The extended viewpoint area is generally flat so HP difficult to specify, but probably path next to decking at south end.henryfm18/02/2023

From park to N, pleasant enough walk in the woods.rhalstead31/03/2019
Lovely stroll on sandy paths to summit decking from car park to N, but I made a pickle of finding a link south to Blackwater Hill - felled brashings and a 400m verge walk on dual carriageway to sanctuary of a bridleway on the Great Heath. Down to the east the River Avon splits and rejoins forming a potential SIB. Later visited it - reached by a fishermans bridge. Down to the west is Hurn Airport. Historically it was the starting point for the 3 day passenger flight to Australia in converted Lancaster bombers, and for 3 months in 1945 it was UK’s only international airport before Heathrow opened. In 1989 visitors could enjoy Concorde champagne flights looping for 1hr 40 mins over the Bay of Bisco and back for the sake of reaching Mach 2 (1534mph) but felt as they were not moving at all. Passengers would have felt more speed wandering slowly over Ramsdown, for a lot less money, no claustrophobia, a lot kinder to the climate, and instead could brag that they reached 3mph instead.Chris Pearson24/03/2019
