From Culter Allers Farm up King's Beck (lost path) to emerge under Culter Fell. Stiff pull then returned out to Chapelgill Hill and on to Cardon Hill. Retuned by Scawdmans Hill. Easy enough day apart from the pull out of King's Beck.SS07/05/2018

Nipped up with Gareth and Jim (and Corra) cloudy on top but a fine walk altogether.GravelMonkey21/02/2015
From Glenkirk via Gathersnow Hill and back down from Chapelgill Head- a fine circuit from a lovely valley, ample parking space at Glenkirk. Good views of surrounding hills, though you can see how industrialised this part of the uplands is becoming. From Culter Fell the many windfarms are all at a distance enough not to intrude on the enjoyment of this quiet hill countrypwheeler22/09/2014
round of 7 new donalds.robertphillips07/08/2014
After a separate short morning walk drove to valley to northeast of summit to finish the morning before heading south. Included two tops to north in the round. Straightforward aprt from 15 minutes untangling a ram with its horn interlocked with a fence - it was not very co-operative but I got it out in the end using trekking poles to lever down the wire. On final descent found a cage trap with a raven as the lure. Not sure if it conformed with legal requirements and could not see the required info tag. Reported it later to SSPCA who handle these things.dickscroop11/06/2014
Walked up the very steep Fell Shin to the summit after bagging another county top; Broad Law earlier that day.DanTrig08/06/2014

Frosty, cool and sunny on top. Trig, hill and a cache.Walker Dan22/09/2012
Solo. From road junction near Culter Allers Farm. To end of public road and along track that goes to Coulter Reservoir. There is a path/track up the broad ridge coming down from Culter Fell. It's particularly boggy on a flattish section. Contoured round the slopes of Culter Fell to join a track going towards King Bank Head. Over minor tops to Chapelgill Hill and Cardon Hill and then back to Culter Fell before descending.pwbellarby08/09/2012
As a circular route around Coulter Reservoir, continuing to Gathersnow Hill, Hillshaw Head and Hudderstone. Great walk, though a bit windy: Hurrican B**-Bag would strike Scotland the next day!milngavie_kenny02/01/2012
Clear path to summit along NW ridge, very easy after the initial steep pull. The mountain was deserted on a sunny afternoon: no rival for highest man in Lanarkshire. Headed on to Chapelgill Hill.campagvelocet24/10/2011
Crossed over to Holm Nick by Moss Law, but returned by the track when rain set in - leaving Gathersnow Hill for another day.Roblex23/10/2011
