Parked in Windsor Great Park Crown Estate Virginia Water south car park (fee) and crossed road and followed bridle way South into Coworth Polo club. We went along the tarmac road/ RoW which leads to The Barn restaurant (with free private carpark) thenn east through trees uphill to a fence junction very close to or at HP. To south are the grounds of a private estate with CCTV etc.Denise 10/03/2024
Park in the large Virginia Water car park on the busy A329 where £3:10 buys you an hour of parking. We approach from the N along the road to The Barn restaurant on Coworth Park. (You could drive here and park in the car park and indulge in a burger and salad for £30, the restaurant even claims ‘muddy boots welcome’ ) We continue along the tarmac track beyond The Barn to where it swings left(ENE) with private sign, wooden gate and CCTV. We retrace our steps a little and head up ENE through the open woodland on the N side of the gated track. Sap is being tapped from birch trees – never seen this done before. A deer fence is reached on the NW edge of the summit area. Over the fence are neat grass paddocks all much the same height.RichardM10/03/2024
Parked in Bedford Lane to the SW and walked the short distance along the A30 heading for bridleway to Cowarth Park. Stayed with RoW as far as track heading for hp, however gated an clearly marked private property. Beech wood to the north is fenced from track but otherwise accessible.Wsnderered uphill through trees as far as possible until blocked by fence to the south and east. Looks like hp may be other side of fence so but wandered around likely hps along the fence. Either way head above highest point.mntainman26/01/2024
From bridleway to the west. BW littered with pointless signs.johnkenyon03/10/2023
Straightforward from the ROW to the west.summitter17/08/2022
Parked to N at PH (Belvedere Arms). Nearby car park is £3 minimum charge. ROW past polo grounds and into woods, then left up through woods just N of, and parallel to, gated lane. Just one Keep to Bridleway sign encountered. Wandered over several bumps near the next gate, close to summit grid ref.PGCE11/04/2021

Approached with some equanimity as I only live 10 mins drive from the start of a decent walk to this, the 2nd nearest Tump to my house. From Sunningdale via Cowarth Park, then a return via Wentworth. I’ve walked on the ROW near the HP before but never thought about going to the HP before I discovered this website! Well worth a couple of hours on a grey afternoon when I wasn't planning anything. The pub in Sunningdale had Harvey’s Christmas Ale which was nice after the exercise.pwheeler16/12/2018
I didn't enjoy this hill. It is located quite close to the busy unpleasant A30. The top is behind all kinds of security warnings and similar rubbish. I counted 30 warning signs in a few hundred yards along the ROW. Who ever lives there must think they are very important! Unpleasant but then I guess that is the atmosphere the owners are trying to convey. I walked from Sunningdale Station.trimarc206/05/2017

From A30 initially along BW which must be a contender for most signs in the shortest distance. Then up through woods along side of estate road.PeterD26/11/2016
Parked at Bluebells Restaurant on A30 then up RoW had a look at field, track, gate and woods until I spotted two gardeners before they spotted me.Dugswell203/11/2016
Followed public right of way from Bluebells restaurant on A30 and up through wood to likely hp.Ramblingpaul25/04/2016
What can I add to Chris's Wikibagging article. Up RoW to wooden gate. Over this & up to high steel gate & deer fence. Summit appears to be over fence in woodland on left as you face the gate.ngthack26/08/2015
Look out for Brucie, Cliff or Elton out bagging from the exclusive nearby Wentworth estate. Other nearby big fish includes the British record capture of a pike, weighing 58 lb 5oz (really?) from Virginia Water. The lake was drained during WWII, as its shape might provide enemy guidance at night to nearby Windsor Castle. Just beyond the summit in Fort Belvedere castle where Edward VIII abdicated as King in 1936. I wonder if he wandered up this hill first to 'mull it over'? I explored north through Coworth Park polo club (on ROW)who offer 'a foray into a world of unparalleled recreational delight'. Sounds like peak bagging to me?Chris Pearson14/06/2015
From A30, London Rd. On PRoW initially. The HP is in grounds of Fort Belvedere, home of King Edward VIII now leased to Galen Weston, a Canadian billionaire. There is 39 years remaining on the original 99 year lease. Freehold remains with the Crown. Unsure whether to state publically which route I took... but believe I got to the HP.jonglew03/06/2015
