From Kingledores using windfarm access road to keep feet dry. Out to Glewnlood Hill then along ridge over Broomy Law and Coomb Hill to Gathersnaw Hill. Walked to Hillshaw Head in compant with walker doing a horseshoe from north but sadly saw nothing. Then came the huge surprise as a wind turbine appeared as I descended to Coomb Dod. Returned by way of east flank and valley floor. Shame about the weather.SS14/10/2017

An excellent round of the hills above Culter Water with Shaky. Parked just past the farm then along the track for a short way taking the side track along King's Beck for a short way before joining the obvious path up NW ridge of Culter Fell. Then followed boundary over Moss Law, an out & back to Coomb Hill, Gathersnow Hill, Hillshaw Head, an out & back to Coomb Dod & then NW to Hudderstone. Dropped steeply E in failing light to the Coulter Reservoir & the private road back out. Started sunny but clouded over just before the top of Culter Fell although we got a view from all of the lower hills.NotReallyABagger28/12/2006
