From the 'wonky church' in Cwmyoy. Plenty of walkers about, all walking on by this pleasant little summit. Then on to Hatterrall Hill.DanMaisieBex14/05/2022

Flat, round, grassy summit with overgrown cairn on distinctive knoll- possibly with quarried sides. Sunny but cold day. From Twyn y Gaer via leaning tower of Cwmyoy, then around the summit's western side. Onto Hatterall Hill.Denise 25/11/2021
After a wander around the leaning walls and tower of St. Martin's church a steep ascent on path up W side alongside the wall. Fine weather, great views.RichardM25/11/2021
I ran up from the village of Cwmyoy. I ended up going the wrong way as I ran north east along a path that disappeared. I ended up heading west over some fences and some rubbish tips before finally picking up the right path. The Cuckoo was calling as I headed up to the summit which was a little scrambly. Plenty of Ravens about as I took in the magnificent views towards the high Black Mountains. Time taken 30 minutes for the 2 miles.isabelle02/05/2021
A quick lunch break jaunt up from Neuadd Farm. Up via the quirky St Matthew's church, down directly to Neuadd.Rob Rees21/01/2021
Enjoyed a lovely sunset from this hilltop after a wonderful hike taking in Hatterrall Hill & Llanthony Priory. Parked at Cwmyoy church.Gerry the Ranger07/12/2020
Parking for church, up lane then the path is fingerposted on the right. Follow it all the way round the back anticlockwise and ascend from the NW corner on a path. I tried to be clever and went up steeply from the east through bracken and brambles onlt to discover that it is two separate hills with a deep cleft between so I had to backtrack.clivevilla29/09/2020
Took path from Cwmyoy, looped round anticlockwise to end up on summit.amarillo-oro-como18/09/2020
From Cwmyoy farm, up the lanes to Cwmyoy church then north on the footpath to the base of the hill, then along the footpath the runs around the east side of the hill, to the north side, the continuing the anticlockwise spiral up the slope to the summit.Mariana Trench26/07/2020

From small parking area for church (not obvious, take lane to right and head above the church and left), then paths, somewhat of a bracken thrash on the W, return by E side better. Nice top though.milimana23/07/2019
On return to Cwmyoy from Hatterall Hill. Pleasant short clamber up from north.Campbell Singer31/01/2019

Could not find anywhere to Parki in Cwmyoy, ended up by bridge to the west. Went up to the east and came back to west. Couple of paths up from the North one involves small scramble. Good viewsPeterD21/05/2017
From Hatterrall Hill, scrambled up the steep grass/rocks to the north. Attempted a 'direct' descent to the south, which proved to be a stupid idea and ended up traversing the steep slopes to the west to find the track leading down the church.Wheelsy18/02/2017

From S, Cwmyoy, past the drunken looking little church, fork R at signboard then high level path leads to summit, scrambly route down thru little crags. Monmouthshire tumps completed at dusk on a windy November Saturday.RHW05/12/2015

Circular walk from Llanthony taking in Hatterrall Hill first and Graig on the way back. Short sharp little hill with some stunning views. Attacked it from the rear (N side) when it wasn't looking. There is a path but not liking to do things the easy way scrambled up near vertical grassy/rocky 'slope'.jonglew22/02/2014
A short circular walk from Cwmyoy while being a tourist. There's a mini scramble to the top and fab views when you get there. Definitely worth visiting Cwmyoy Church too!islamidget22/01/2012
