From Drumelzier up Pykestone Hill, Long Grain Knowe, over to Middle Hill, returning by Drumelzier Law. Several windy, sleety showers. Most of high peaks around were covered in cloud, although some good views were seen, including the Pentland Hills and Tinto. With Sally.Victor08/01/2023

From Stanhope, parking just before the bridge (NT 1199 3043). Last hill in a 14k round that was preceded by Taberon Law, Middle Hill, Long Grain Knowe and Grey Weather Law. There may be a track coming off Drumelzier's W flank but didn't find it and ground quite rough with bracken and new conifer plantings. Picked up the track at NT 1320 3078.jonglew07/09/2022
Parking in tiny car park at Drumelzier (NT136339) Excellent track up to Den Knowes Head, cut across to The Scrape. Pykestone Hill, Grey Weather Law, Long Grain Knowe, Middle Hill, Taberon Law, back to Middle Hill, Glenstivon Dod, Drumelzier Law. Mostly on good paths and ATV tracks.Isbjorn05/06/2022

Parked at the little car park in Drumelzier, up the dead-end road to the SE of the village just past the shed. Great walk over 7 tops, easy underfoot, sunshine all day, pity about the wind.nicolajane19/03/2022
After breakfast Frances and I drove to Broughton and then to Drumelzier. It was a bright but chilly blue sky day with a moderate wind. We walked up the track to Pykestone Hill. I was not moving particularly quickly and I also underestimated how close we were to the top of Pykestone Hill. From the trig point on top of Pykestone Hill we followed the fence line over Grey Weather Law and Long Grain Knowe and out to Middle Hill that was the second Donald of the day. As we swung round from Pykestone Hill to Drumelzier Law we were no longer walking into the wind. We doubled back towards Drumelzier Law via Glenstivon Dod. Smoke drifted over the hills from the Manor valley. We descended over Dulyard Brae and Logan Head and down Finglen Rig back to Drumlezier. On Dulyard Brae we passed a family group walking up the hill.langskill19/03/2022

Patked in car park at Drumelziewith the “Merlin Trail” plaque. Across the bridge and round the back of the cottage. Weather was gorgeous for November although it clouded up a little in the afternoon. Very few boggy bits and, generally, quite an easy walk. Pykestone Hill first, then Long Grain Knowe, Middle Hill and finally Drumelzier Law. Lovely walk, lovely day out.tsharp06/11/2020
CW round from Drumelzier: The Scrape, Pykestone Hill, Grey Weather Law, Long Grain Knowe, Middle Hill, Taberon Law, Drumelzier Law. Easy walking and views across almost all the Borders hills - superb.Nick Down127/09/2020
I went south today to get three Donalds and a Donald Top from Drumelzier in the Scottish Borders south east of Biggar. I walked up Den Knowes to the 1st Donald, Pykestone Hill (737m) then north east to the Donald Top of The Scrape (719m). Followed by a traverse back over Pykestone Hill to the 2nd Donald, Middle Hill (716m) when the fog finally cleared to give great views toward the Lowther Hills, Culter Fell and Tinto. Then a walk over to the 3rd Donald, Drumelzier Law (668m), before descending Finglen Rig back to the start point in Drumelzier village, 05:30hrs all in. I made the mistake of take my canvas hiking boots so my feet were soaking, but it was still enjoyable day out, as I got a view later on.chillyman825/07/2020

Small car park in Drumelzier at 136340. A clockwise circuit of the Donalds/Donald Tops above Drumelzier, visiting The Scrape, Pykestone Hill, Middle Hill, Taberon Law & Drumelzier Law. Apart from a bit of rough going on the walk out to Taberon Law, good terrain with well-used paths & tracks. Descended on ATV track over Logan Head & down Finglen Rig. (S)gerrybowes20/03/2019

Solo from Middle Hill over DL and down to track back to P in Drumelzier.Third visit, 29/08/2022, was solo direct from P at Drumelzier SSW up beside trees to Finglen Rig and Logan Head onto ridge path to DL, lunch was taken at cairn; weather warm but blowy on top. Return along ridge to LH then down NE on worn atv lines to arrive at gate on track which was followed back to P.jacobus14/10/2015

Last one of the day. Nice ascent onto a long broad ridge which took me back to the car. Four Donalds in four hours and sat in the stream before driving home for a crappy eye test.GravelMonkey11/06/2015
(Continuation of 1857, Middle Hill) Climbed from 570m col from Glenstivon Dod to second cairn on DL. Descended NW/W/NE over Logan Head and flank of Finglen Rig (rain came on 30 mins from car) to reach Drumelzier Burn close to junction of track and grassy path, taken to return to P. An excellent circuit over three Donalds; worth repeating as will be required to gain two Donald Tops - The Scrape and Taberon Law - which were missed owing to lack of knowledge at the first visit. Second visit on 14/10/2015, en route from circuit from The Scrape, PH, GWH, MH, Taberon Law, MH, and Glenstivon Dod. Continued along ridge to Logan Head and Finglen Rig to drop to valley track and path back to Mill House P. Cloud obscured the sun from time to time but otherwise a grand day.trienbrae15/04/2015

Didn't really have the energy to do this after the other 7 but we made it anyway - we are so good at wearing ourselves out but you can't have the one that got away!! From Stanhope. Long hawl back at the end.nickywood129/09/2013
A big ambitious running bagging day with Darren on snow covered hills from Meggethead. An awkward outlier from which we dropped east and climbed out to to The Scrape -a long way from our distant finish with time pressing and brief snow showers sweeping inChris Pearson12/04/2013
