From Dunwan Dam which was being filled from Bennan Loch, to top of Dunwan Hill. Much detail on Historic Environment Scotland website. By tracks and path to Jonathan de Ferranti's superb view indicator on Blackwood Hill. Returned to car parked opposite Greenfield Farm to find Private No Public Access sign at farm despite official posts marking route.lordtonult05/10/2021

Came across from Blackwood Hill. Interesting wee hill fort, and good views to Ben Lomond and the Crianlarich Hills. Returned via the windfarm tracks to the visitors centre, then along to the layby opposite Greenfield where we'd parked. Final tump of 4 on an 8.8km circuit from the layby opposite Greenfield track climbing Ballageich hill, Bennan and Blackwood, descending Nne to reach track and following it North (with minor detour around flooded area) then Nne to gate and up to summit, recording 302m @ NS 54694 48949 then back down to less steep area and across Nnw to track following it North then veering off Nw to reach path to Greenfield (signposted too) and back to the start.
